To anyone who is going to install this on their truck, regardless of truck year - make sure you get lock-tite for the bolts that come with the spacers. When you go to tighten down the nuts on the spacer bolts without the locktite, it'll just back the bolts out. Locktite fixed the problem. My truck (2019 big horn) came out just like the one in the video. I love it. Ride quality still feels the same like stock.

Great video man! One thing I do differently when undoing the upper ball joint, I loosen the nut off until about the last 2-4 threads, and hit the knuckle with my plastic mallet to brake the ballpoint free. Makes chances of destroying the ballpoint boot almost 0. But definitely a very instructive video!

Me and my buddies took on this project last weekend. Took us three hours for the first side (some of that waiting for the pickle fork to show up) and an hour on the second side. Got it aligned the next day ( looks like they used 2018 specs) and it drove great. Picked up the Fuel Mavericks in 20” with the BF Goodrich K02’s 275/65R20 (about 34” tall). Looks and rides great! I figure if the ball joints or bushings go out prematurely, I will just upgrade them at a later date. Thanks again for the video, very helpful. I kept wondering why you guys were using the open end wrenches instead of sockets...then I realized that you need to hold the bolt on the bottom with the smaller wrench or socket to keep it from spinning 🤣. One note...make sure that the threaded studs are in good! I had one back out when tightening. Good luck!

I did this in my driveway in about 30 minutes it was so fast I didn’t even wanna make a video of it. That pickle fork part is really bad practice unless you planning on replacing the upper control arm. Why not tap the side of the spindle to free up the ball joint. If there was a challenging part I’d say it would be putting the lower strut bolt back it you’d need someone to assist you. 22mm 21mm 24mm 18mm 10mm 8mm 16mm pry bar and hammer and at-least a 3-4 ton jack with jack stands and he’s right the 4th gen kit works on the 5th. On a side note if you doing this make sure you loosen the upper control arm bolts before removing the upper ball joint and then re tighten when the truck is on the ground if not bye bye control arms in a couple months🤘🏾

Good video. I’m picking up my ‘19 Laramie next week. Looking for a lift not so much for aesthetics but to minimize the drop with the weight of a plow (it’s going to drop X amount anyways with or without a lift kit). How they lifted the ORP trucks was just adding a longer spring and strut and these motofabs do work on the rebel trim so it will work on any other trim with the ORP, if you measure from the center hub of wheel up to the lip of the fender and its 22 inches you can add a space or even 22.5 is fine if its over that then no the 2.5 inch lift will not work, my rebel is 24.5" in back and 22" in front, so 2.5 inch would level it flat with no rake and my rebel has the factory lift so they say well its a rebel and they all come with the ORP..... thats what makes it a rebel it is the ram for off road.... and yes my dealership first thing was " you want a level kit added" "we can do it for you" ... so your dealership well not very smart about rams....

@@charleswoolman7231 Seriously, is this truck in the video a extreme off road racer going up against a raptor, it looks more like a pavement princess to me, driving it around town will last the lifetime of the truck, I know a few older rams with spacers and they got 250,000 plus miles on them and still never had issues with the joints, keep them lubed especially if you play in the water a lot or live in a rainy city.... and no curb hopping in the walmart parking lot and these balls will last forever. Now if your seriously going extreme off road then you already know what to do with the $6,000 you need to build the suspension and this video is not in your list of things to do...

Can you get the TIS544 22 inch rims on this truck with same tires you got ; will it fit on a leveled truck?

would there be no problem getting these tires without a leveling kit and just keeping it stock? i’m from the detroit area, any good tint shops/tire shops you recommend?
@DOOWORKPRODUCTIONS

Yes, you do not need the leveling kit for these tires in this size. However, it does give you more clearance and looks better IMO. For Tint Shops I use a guy out of Grand Blanc, Mi and his company is HiTek Tint. His number is (248) 895-0831. For Tire shops, I use Jiminez Tire in Pontiac, Mi. Tell them both I sent you and they will hook you up! Thanks!

Hello having this 2.5 level. Have you had issues with the UCA and ball joint. What sizes tires did you have. I have those same rims. Any rubbing issues. Ty

It is definitely confusing. It is a 50/50 spacers to spacers plus uca. To much stress on the ball joint. Yet you are saying you have no issues. Do you have 285’s on

@Jason Maldonado Not really, around town driving you don't notice a difference. It's when you go over big bumps or in and out of driveways when it feels a little stiff. Overall, I am happy with the ride quality though.

Hey man, thanks for doing this. I have the 2019 big horn, 6.5 bed. Have same bright white. What are your thoughts on bilstein 5100 leveling shocks ram 2019 to gain 2+ inches? Currently have 18" looking to put 35x12.5x20"s nittos with wheels negative 18. Have you noticed a difference in ride? Thanks again. Dropping $$ next week. Ouch

Ride quality stayed the same for the most part. Can't really tell a difference. Very happy with how it turned out. I have never used Bilstein 5100's but I hear good things about them! Good luck with your new setup!

I had the Bilstein 5100s on my 2016 Sport and it road better then stock. It was actually a 2.75” lift in the front. Unfortunately they aren’t out yet for the 2019s but hopefully by the end of 2019 they will be. I am getting anxious though. I may have to do this leveling kit first. I have a 2019 bighorn sport now
