Barry, if you had a choice would you choose this model or the 5th wheel version to live in from ATC?

The 5th wheel will offer up a bit more living space, and it won't feel quite as claustrophobic thanks to the additional ceiling height. The other advantages of the 5th are that it will tow much nicer than the travel trailer and they typically have higher cargo capacities.

I have a tax/ plate question. I just sold an 04 Fleetwood gearbox. It could not be played as an RV. 12,000 lb regular trailer plate. Therefore tax deductible entirely on my business. I travel a lot for work. Grapple truck. Railroad tie recycling, hurricane relief, demolition hauling. Worked very well for the years I owned it. Ready for a new toy hauler/ portable office/bedroom.

Hi Samiamcramer4truth, not sure where the question was in here. But that said, you can certainly buy an ATC under a business entity and use it for said business and write it off as such.

I'm confused. We had a 32' Jayco Eagle travel trailer. It weighed 7,400 pounds unloaded. It was stick built and had a double steel frame underneath. How can this trailer weigh 7,400 pounds??
@Southern_RV

So the big point here that a lot of people miss is that while this is 7,416 lbs unloaded, it has a GVWR of 13,200 lbs. That means it has a cargo capacity of 5,784 lbs. It needs a beefy frame to carry all that weight and aluminum is keeping the total weight down. Your Jayco likely only had a GVWR of about 9,000 lbs and that is a huge difference!

@@Southern_RV Yes 9,400 GVWR. I get what you're saying.

I have an F-150 that has the maximum tow package on it and it could pull this trailer loaded. However I would not do it, because I think by the time you put the tongue weight onto the payload of that truck you're not going to have much left. Also, when that halftime truck is going down the highway, I think you may end up with many white knuckle experiences rather than using a 3/4 ton on up. Empty or with just a little bit of payload, you would probably be okay, but when you max that thing out I think that's just too much for a half ton even with the maximum tow package that Ford offers. I wouldn't do it.

Agreed, just because you can, doesn’t mean you should. 250/2500 at minimum.

Price...can I fit my jeep wrangler on 40s...
@Southern_RV

We recorded this video more than 3 years ago, so it's long since been sold and we don't have a pre-owned one to compare pricing on at the moment. The jeep on 40's is not likely to fit.

Hi Tom, this particular model listed with a sale price of $63,979. I can say with certainty that a stock Can Am 4 seater will fit with ease!

Can multiple chemical sensitive people tolerate this?
@Southern_RV
3 жыл бұрын
Thanks for watching, and great question! Many traditional builds in the RV industry use treated woods, plastics, heavy glues and other materials that may set off chemical sensitivity. The ATC being built (almost) entirely out of aluminum, gets rid of the majority of those materials. Ultimately it comes down to the level of sensitivity of the end user, but the construction here certainly minimizes that type of exposure.
