I miss the old format where we follow a person for a whole stage and see what they're shooting

Assume everybody is shooting an Impact action in a Foundation stock and some flavor of 6mm. Most like Creedmoor, Dasher or GT and you'll have about 90% of the field covered. Scopes are gonna be ZCO, Vortex or Kahles followed up by S&B, USO, Athlon, Bushnell and NF.

As much fun as these matches are to both watch and participate in, I would love to see a match with: a maximum rifle weight of 10 pounds a minimum projectile weight weight of 142 grains limited to a bipod and one rear bag. no prone stages at least one reload on the clock per stage.

I was thinking the very same thing. 20 lb or more rifle shooting a 105 gr bullet with a magnum brake, these guys don’t deal with recoil management at all. Also, agree completely to loose all the bags and tripods and settle on a rifle bipod and a standard rear bag for all competitors. As for ammo, good starting point would be 130 or 140gr bullet and make everyone shoot past a chrono for minimum velocity, sort of like power factor in pistol competition. I miss tactical rifles and .308’s, and the limitations that forced you to be a better shooter.

Looks like we need a dq at 4:10 it would be hard to pin that on the gun handler. The person getting muzzled looks to me like he was in front of the gun staging area so seems to me it should be him to blame

As someone trying to figure out what these matches are like, these videos answer no questions. Would you like someone to film these for y'all? I'll make sure there's no wind noise I'll make sure we get some pictures of some targets in the shot not just watching some guy pull the trigger... Also they always show the end of the brief about the stage I want to know what the stage is I don't even know what they're doing other than watching a guy pull the trigger like what are we even watching here

More left handed shooters in one event than I've seen at the range in an entire year. Must be something in the water?
