Tried jumpstarting a car with an international Ford Ranger. Couldn't find a good place to put on my 400A jumper cable clamps. Moved the Ranger out of the way and get my jdm Toyota minivan, with old style battery terminals to start the other car. Don't understand why the manufacturers now make all these 'distribution' blocks. More area for potential short circuiting..

Great video Its nice too see a technician show the faults and how to fix it. It’s too bad they made this new Ford explore hybrid so cheap Ford motor company should take a page from Toyota’s book on how to build a proper hybrid vehicle that will Hold up overtime and not have so many issues when it’s fairly new I guess that’s what happens when car companies don’t test their products before they send it to the market for people to purchase maybe the police forces should stop by these vehicles and if they want to hybrid get a Toyota Highlander hybrid instead.

Look at some of my former replies for an imgur link . It's a voltage drop test. Test 5 is specific to under hood fuse boxes. Engine running, headlights on, meter set to 20vdc. Positive battery post to each fuse in the underhood fuse box and each big cable attached to the underhood fuse block. A good voltage drop reading will be 4/100th of a volt. Higher current circuits may be 3/10th of a volt. But you need to step by step that circuit to verify it's the overall circuit with that much drop, not just one connection or cable.

...and how bout that, they mounted this over the battery. Are you serious? Is the engine bay that small to have that not mounted elsewhere? Like a solid body structure in the bay? This is not the first time have i seen a complete fuse/relay box being replaced on Fords. In fact this goes back for several years now. How come this was never a real problem on 'much' older vehicles? Bet those engineers were thinking "...with today's technology and smaller gauge wires, these electrical system can handle overloading issues with no problem!" To them, this is what you call progress and yet they are still being overpaid, still don't have comman sense, or still have no clue what it's like working on vehicles with a more sophisticated system, and they couldn't give you a solution as to why crap like this fail!
