That is the perfect farmers mower! there are times were farmers don't have time every week to mow the lawn and its never fun going 2 miles an hour in 8 inch grass. The Mach One should have no problem selling in the Midwest!

@@jcslawntips Do you think it would be possible to just get the Mach One deck and switch them on the other mower.

The Gravely rep made no mention of fact the Mach 1 also has a LOT more engine on it than say - a 260. The 260 typically comes with an 850cc Kawi FX850 good for 27hp and peak torque of 45nm @ 2400rpm. The torque of that engine is "peaky" and falls off rapidly before and after that engine speed. The Mach 1 has the 999cc Kawi FX921 good for 31hp, and 67nm torque all the way from 2000rpm to 2500rpm. I'm not an aerodynamics engineer, but I **am** an engine engineer - I can't speak for the deck, but I can tell you the bigger engine with a lot more low end torque is going to roll the coal HARDER when the going gets tough while the smaller engine bogs. It's amazing to me the Gravely rep failed to point this out. It's a huge difference. Another thing that stands out to me, is the 31hp 999cc Kawi is the same basic engine, just tuned/calibrated differently, as the FX1000 which makes 35hp. What that says to me: If the 35hp version has satisfactory reliability and durability, then the "detuned" 31hp version will easily outlast it. Interesting. I think I want one.
