I see many senior citizens driving compact SUVs/Crossovers and I know many of us have hearing issues that are sensitive to road noise - and that CRV seemed to have a LOT of road noise. The only thing I hate about CRV is the start stop engine. You can turn it off, but you have to hit the button everytime you get into the vehicle, however there is work around by discounting a connector under the hood. I wasn’t too keen on a light interior at first because I like to wear my dark denim (haven’t done so since purchase), but it has actually grown on me. The CR-V is a really good daily for everyday needs. The two complaints from me is the steering wheel at 9 and 3 position and the CVT. As an enthusiast, I have a hard time getting used to the feel of a CVT, but it works perfectly fine and more than adequate for the average buyer. And the steering wheel. The 9 and 3 position of the steering wheel is too thin for my hands, I feel like I'm holding onto the blunt side of a cutting knife. I just wished that part of the wheel would be a little bit thicker so that it would feel natural. But maybe that's just me.

Lol I have a CRV, and I don't agree on some things he says. The cvt is NOT smooth. It has a rubber band/boat effect on speeds under 30 where you hammer the throttle but the car feels like you're a boat trying to accelerate and you don't feel much acceleration. Some materials feel very cheap, and the gear shifter feels very very cheap, it's clunky, and hard to shift. Very wobbly. And yes, we had the shift knob recall done. The whole shifter is just a piece of plastic. It accelerates slowly, even compared to other crossovers. But it's a pretty solid car besides that. Some have oil dilution problems where gas mixes with the oil...

Bad Memories. My 2017 Honda CR-V (Same generation as the 2020), had glitchy info system where the brightness control would go up and down and loudly beep constantly. There was no way to turn it off. You'd have to pull over and turn off the engine. Honda tried to charge me a diagnostic fee (they do this on almost any warranty related issue to discourage people from reporting problems ) Finally lemoned it for other issues *blown turbo at 20k, oil dilution, electrical problems (all lights flashed), and got a Subaru Forester which has had ZERO issues on the Infotainment system. The only thing they would actually recall (because they had to) was a stick shift that might fall off in your hands apparently). Honda is a shit company and #7 on the list now of top Mfr's whereas Subaru and Mazda rank at 1st and 2nd place, and they deserve it. The way they treat their customers esp avoiding recalls is seriously screwed up.
