A 'basic' Renegade Trailhawk (cloth seats, no panoramic roof, etc) can be found priced on dealer lots for under $23. Mine has LED package, UConnect, & trailer/tow pkg. Sticker was $33,700, dealer price was $22,700 before any negotiation. Makes it a lot more appealing at that price.

I have a 2016 Renegade trailhawk. Had 39k miles when I bought it. Great vehicle so far. There's tons of aftermarket support for this as well. Like wranglers do. I thought mine was made in Italy and the jeep compass was made in Mexico. Probably changed since 2016. Thanks for the video.

The higher RPM is due to engine size. Motorcycles run at 17k rpm so for perspective. 1500 in a 1.3 is far less than 1500 in a 7.5 keep that in mind.

The parking brake can be set up to come on when your in part via the settings options...The brake also comes off automaticslly when in drive and you stsrt to accelerate...Due to the USA not getting the 2.0 litre diesel that we get in Europe...much better than the 1.0 or 1.3 turbo petrols with way more torque and it works well with thd o speed auto...Combined mpg I get around 43MPG...with 140bhp and 258ft lbs it is fairly quick...

Great intro in Mexico. I hear you about the glare from the plastic gauge cover but not sure what else they can do? They have to cover those LCD screens and protect them or they would get damaged. Now is when you need to do the Gladiator review after the 20 inches of rain we've gotten in the Phoenix area. Lots of mud and washed out sand out there now.

Dude in settings you can switch to auto E brake and if will engage and disengage automatically no need to even worry about it. When you put it in park it engages when you put it in drive and as soon as you touch the throttle it disengages.

Pity didn’t seeing a Hilary wandering down there (part of his sick humor I enjoy). Went ahead a test drove this today. Dealer was offering a $5500 rebate on these. Was interesting to learn more of it. Will be returning to test drive the bigger Cherokee to see how it feels. Will be debating between this, Honda passport and cx-5. Volvo was sweet but most likely out of my budget range. Your sick humor and reviews have been a help with questions on cars. I didn’t test the trail hawk version. I think it was a regular renegade.

For the parking break you simply need to push down on the gas pedal and it should automatically turn the parking break off but there is a time between giving it a little gas and the break coming up which builds up some torque and launches the vehicle a tiny bit but after a while you get used to it. I have a 2017 trailhawk and my experience has been very inline with your review. Good vehicle for farm/country roads and living.
