The more competition in the off road market the better and the new Sherco's look like great bikes.

Sherco consolidated all of their bike production into one factory in France a couple of years ago. Great model, I've had two of them and they are amazing. It is a true all rounder

I recently had a 2015 sef 250 factory model. Really a sweet bike . It turned very well in the tight stuff.

Awesome review! We had a '16 250. Phenomenal motor, and all the needed add-ons straight from factory. Quick question, the '16 had a mapping switch on the bars, never could really tell a big difference between maps but was curious if the newer ones had it.

Cody Phillips Yeah, it has a map switch just under the e-start button. It wasn’t labeled and I couldn’t really tell which mode was which.

This bike has been tempting me for a while as the modern 450's get a lot of wheel spin and feel bulky but the 250f feels just a little light on power. The Ktm 350xc is awesome but, stalls easily and overheats easy without a fan. How much better is this motor than the YZ250fx? Are there any other ares you feel it is better than the 250fx? Great video keep them coming.

NVMCRIDER Not sure if I’d say the motor is necessarily better than the YZ250FX, but different. It seems better at lugging and on the lower end of the rpm range. The sherco feels very light. Thanks for watching.

How does the SEF 300 compare powerwise to your YZ250FX? I ride GNCC/Medium trails at worse. No hard enduro or MX

The Sherco has a little more low end grunt but top end power is comparable. The yamaha revs quicker.

Hello, sorry for comenting in an older video, but I saw you have (or had) a crf 250X, so I wanted to ask you how does the crf 250X compare to this Sherco 300 4 stroke? I'm about to buy a 2014 crf 250 x with 70 hours for 2800€ which seems like a decent price, but there is also a 2021 SEF 300 Factory for 6000€ nearby. Is the Sherco a much better bike, or do you think thank the Honda + some mods (susp revalve, brakes, lithium battery, exhaust, rejet, 290cc Athena big bore kit, hotcams stage 1 cam and some light head work) can get close to the Sherco while costing a bit less?

It's been a long time since I rode either bike but the 250X might be the better value if it's in good condition with low hours. The Sherco is ahead in technology with fuel injection, etc. The Honda is carbureted but they run really well when uncorked and jetted properly. The Honda is probably a little heavier than the Sherco. I think I would choose the 250X between those two because it sounds like a better deal. Thanks for watching!

How does the low mid and top end power compare to the 250fx ? Also are the stock kybs softer or stiffer than stock 250fx kyb?
@DirtBikingwithDonnie
2 жыл бұрын
The KYB fork on the Sherco is considerably softer than the stock KYB fork on the YZ250FX. I haven't looked at any dyno charts to compare but just based on riding the two bikes, the Sherco low end power is a little better being a 300, but the YZ250FX mid and top end power is equal in my opinion and the Yamaha revs faster.

Arthur Kineard That’s a tough question. For most of the riding I do a 2 stroke is hard to beat! Can’t wait to ride a sherco 2 stroke. Thanks for watching.
