I loved this! I don't have a shop yet and my organization has been "piles of...on the garage floor". I'll be able to do much better now. ETA: I also watched the sketch up, and I downloaded and installed it. What do you like and consider important in a shop apron? I don't care what color it is or who's name is on it. But I understand a shop apron is not a jobsite tool-and-gadget collector. Also, I applied tor an EIN after watching that video. Thank you for your videos; you keep makin; and Ill keep watchin'.

Jason do you have or intend to do a video to show a more indepth view of your assembly table setup. I find it intriguing and would like to see more of it. Although I have seen Ron Paulks setups, and purchased all the plans, I must say I am not a big fan of the open storage. I would prefer drawers, and I am looking for something that controls the dust dropping down the dog holes. The Track used this way is exactly what I have in mind. Where did you get the once piece extrusion?

Nice work station! Can you comment on how you setup the middle MFT to have the flip rail? Ie. setting the up so you always have 90 degree repeatable cutting station.

Take a look at a recent video I discussed the assembly table specifically
@Griswald2000
4 жыл бұрын
I had watched the previous video and I have seen the bench dog rails before too. My question is pertaining to setting the rail up. When using the MFT in that orientation you aren’t using the factory stops. I bought a used MFT and the guy had moved the factory stops and I’ve had a hard time achieving perfect 90’s.
@bentswoodworking
4 жыл бұрын
So his system is designed to be set up referencing the dog holes. This makes is very easy to achieve a 90 degree angle. I have experienced excellent results regardless of where I place the fence

Thats a lovely shop chap. I agree on the multiple mfts.. I've made benchs with a huge mft top and they're just not quite the same. And you can always take them outside if you need to. But got to ask, what do you use the table saw for? Do you not rip stock on the bandsaw and track saw all sheet material? Kindest from the UK, Matt.
@bentswoodworking

I still use my table saw a lot. Much faster for most things. Plus I use a dado stack in it fairly often. I have started to tell myself that I could probably get by without it but I don’t know if I want to be without it.

The reason you wouldn't have been using your sustainers for their purpose is, their purpose is more for a contractor that is mobile and going from site to site. They aren't being transported when used in a shop setting, so the sustainer becomes more of a hassle.... in and out, open/close. I'm a hobbyist, don't have near the amount of festool you do, but same... they are out and at arms reach. and, and, my shop is far from picturesque... but I'm not a youtuber filming, so there is that. I've often thought of stringing together more mfts to create a larger work surface and wider crosscut capability but am torn. Not sure about the long reach... nice set up though
