With a little looking I see it is Old Amersham Market Hall on the high street . I am sure that building has seen many many stories (and quite a few live stock :) ).. I love that England had these open market buildings .. Glad you are enjoying the R3 .. In America when we speak of that kind of pull we say "It pulls like a freight train" ..It is called a Rocket for very good reasons.. During UK lockdown you & other vloggers are helping keep the rest of us entertained & sane. Maybe you should be considered a key worker & allowed to ride? But I do agree with you not risking an ‘off’ & putting extra load on health system. Some volunteer riders are delivering prescriptions so vulnerable people can ‘social distance’ from risky places like surgeries & pharmacies. Unfortunately others are still taking stupidly irresponsible advantage of empty roads which is bad PR for all of us.

Its funny some bikes looks like shit on pictures but god in real life and then theres bikes that look wery god on pictures but are a disapointment when you see it in person. In real life the Rocket looks different in proportions and not so premium like. Many things that looks like metal on the pictures are plastics ( esp the part around the radiator), and the Rocket desperatly needs a new exhaust becouse that 2500cc sounds like its a 800cc not the biggest production engine in the industri but sadly theres is none at the moment. And its wery thirsty esp when driving a little faster ( around 1 lit/10km/ 24mpg)

I just can't get over the bad taste that Triumph's betrayal of its UK workforce leaves. To trade on this heritage is an outright deception. Make the bikes in the U.K. - yes we will pay the premium. Don't expect us to pay the premium for cheap unrewarded Thai labour. So what is actually made in the uk on the rocket 3 ? Who knows. How much is assembled in Hinckley ? - looks like an importation box tick.

Mind made up for a T120 for the last couple of years - you sealed the deal with the Interceptor - a no brainer. As you alluded to the effect on sales - you are in a better position than most to predict the fallout in sales - I know at least 6 people who have stopped the purchase of a Triumph bike - because of this globalisation nonsense. I suppose the UK market doesn't drive the corporate direction and investment , but for a heritage marque it is essential to retain the provenance of design , development and manufacture. I spent over 30 years keeping manufacture in this country , at a great unrewarded cost , to see bankers and acountants destroy our efforts. So my take on the issue is a bit tarnished - we need to keep and maintain manufacture in this country - not for old times sake - but for our future security. I sympathise with your take on it , to a certain degree, at least there will be a Triumph - but at what cost to our people here ? Is it just me being out of touch and xenophobic ?

Always excellent thank you, like many of the other KZitemrs commenting here I felt like I got out there myself and had the air in my lungs, the wind in my face ! I hope you don't mind me saying but, the front mounted camera distorts the length of your arms slightly and you did look at times like a gibbon (referring to the arms only of course ;-) riding a Triumph Rocket 3 !! ;D

hey TMF thanks for continued awesomeness ~ from a cruiser perspective how do you compare the Rocket III to the Speedmaster?

Completely different experience! The Speedmaster is a much more practical proposition I will say that...

TheMissendenFlyer As a seasoned citizen myself, when I can’t recall something my excuse is I need more RAM. The computer has too much information loaded and it takes too long to retrieve the file I’m looking for :-)

That bike has a bigger engine than my car lol. Beautiful bike, but is it really a cruiser? and not a muscle bike?

That size engine needs 5 seats, air con and surround sound. For me it looks like complete overkill. That said its all a matter of personal preference and size of appendage ....lol

Yeah, I noticed straightaway you were wearing a new jacket. Was wondering what had happened to the Hardy? Why not just get a smaller size? A couple of months ago I got a Hardy jacket sze S on the strength of your review. Love it. Sadly no opportunity yet to use it in anger. The down sides of losing a lot of weight, is you need to buy new clothes and bike gear is not cheap especially if you have as many bikes as you and different gear needed for each! You have to wear the right kit for each bike which means a large wardrobe. You probably have more clothes and shoes than Mrs MF. LoL. But Mr MF you weren't that (Teapotone emphasis) big! You were just normal looking. If you did a list of 5 things you hate about the Rocket 3R it might look like this below. They are in no order of preference, 1) Speedo 2) Speedo 3) Speedo 4) Speedo 5) Speedo What's the fuel consumption like? Thanks as always.

Yes the Hardy is a great jacket, not sure I like this one quite as much...and yes an unintended consequence of losing weight, pretty much had to renew all my clothes including expensive biking and skiing kit!

@@TheMissendenFlyer Sounds expensive. But could you not sell the gear that no longer fits you mitigating some of the cost? Skiing is one activity I have not got into, mainly cos it fills wirh terror. I went once when I was a very young lad and it didn't end well. The thought of sliding down an almost vertical mountain again, no. The thought of sliding down the road is bad enough and I've done that too. Anyway I hope my 5 dislikes about the Rocket 3 help you in your forthcoming conclusions before you hand it back. Thanks for replying. Keep up the good work.
