I bought one new a little over a month ago. LOVE it! Averaging over 38mpg. Paid less than $14K cash for it. I and my partner are on the small size so it works great for us

I'm a big guy too, 560 pounds and 5'3 tall and I've no problem driving my 2022 Chevrolet Spark LS CVT. Mine is the base trim LS so it has roll up windows, manual locks, manual mirrors etc. but I like it! So much fun to drive!

I bought the abosolute base model two months ago with the CVT. Have just turned over 2000 miles. Including a long distance trip of just over 300 miles. I drive it conservatively and my town average is 31.5mpg's and freeway 35.5. I track the mileage every time I fill up. Don't know how people are getting the numbers they claim. Maybe they don't use the A/C. I live in Phoenix AZ so it's on permanently. Anyway. Apart from that I'm happy with it. I actually find it to be more comfortable with a better ride than I expected. It's a small cheap economy car. You have to have realistic expectations about what it is and if it remains reliable I'll be perfectly satisifed with it as my daily driver/work runabout. I will say it actually has better highway performance than I expected. Once it was up to cruising speed I actually found it difficult to keep it below 80mph.

I bought a used 2021 automatic Spark for mom, as she traded down from a large Nissan Rogue. She like how it drives, and doesn't feel like she is navigating a truck down the road, and finds the parking so much easier. She is a small lady, so the Spark is actually large enough for her, and the all-around visibility (more window space than the Roque).

98 Horsepower! That's more than TWICE the power that I had in my 1980 VW Diesel Rabbit (48 hp.) and I drove that thing across North America many times, and pulled a light trailer doing it. More horsepower does not mean a better machine . . .

My 2021 LT with CVT gets 36 mpg in the city, 42 on the highway. Love the car. Easy to drive and park. Maintenance is inexpensive too. Tires are about $55 each. I have long been a fan of small cars. This is a genuine auto that is not pretentious. It fulfills its purpose.

I JUST got mine not even a week ago, the LS (base model), & it was weird cuz b4 the day I test drove it for the 2nd time, I don't recall ever having seen a Spark EVER b4. Then when I'm test driving 🚗 the thing --- N🚫 LIE 😐 --- I saw @ LEAST 10 of them in various colors in the 30mins I was test driving it 🤯!! But out of all of the ones I saw on the road that day & have seen 👀 since then, the 1 your showcasing in this review is the 1st one I've seen in this pearlescent ivory color aside from mine!! When I 1st saw it at the dealership, for some reason, I couldn't make out if it was a tan/light gold color, or if it was a VERY light silverish/gold. I don't know, but when the Sun 🌞 came out in full force, I finally was able to see what it's true color was & I LOVE 😍 IT!! I got it at a used car 🚗 lot, so it was the only 1 of it's kind there, so it's not like I had a choice in colors, BUT I knew I wanted a car that was either white or silver. I HAVE since I got this 1, seen several reviews of the Spark & some were in the "summit 🏔 white" shade, which is a pure, true, stars white akin to the color of freshly fallen snow ❄️. And next to the pearlescent color of mine, to me it's my next favorite color on the Spark. I'm guessing the pearlescent color was a rare or limited color cuz maybe they didn't think it'd really sell cuz, as I said, I've only seen 2 --- mine & the 1 in this video --- in this color. I consider myself VERY blessed 2 have found "my baby 🚙" in all her rarity on a used car lot, of all places. The pearlescent shade lends another level of sophistication the white tries to deliver, but doesn't quite nail 100% & makes this subcompact car look way more expensive & classy than it is or would look in regular white or any of the other colors in my opinion. It makes me feel like I $pent 🤲🏾💵 a lot more than I actually did 🙆🏾♂️ 🎆. Mine is a 2017. If the salesman hadn't told me the year & told me to guess the mileage, I would have guessed it was a 2020 or a 2022 cuz the outside AND the inside were immaculate. Aside from a lil' fading on the seats 💺, it looks showroom new. Granted, it does have 150,000 miles & it's only 5yrs old. BUT ☝🏾 I knew that to have gained such high mileage in such a short period of time, @ LEAST 90% of those miles had to have been highway 🛣 miles, & highway miles are the LEAST damaging to a vehicle. So in terms of wear-&-tear, my car actually only has about 75,000 to possibly 100,000 miles on it. And it only had 1 owner b4 me, the Catfax 🦊 shows he had the oil 🛢 changed RELIGIOUSLY every 3,000 to 5,000 miles. Buy I LOVE the way it handles; despite the appearance of its size from the outside, it's VERY roomy in the front driver & passenger's seats 💺, & I even sat in the backseat & I wasn't cramped. Granted, I'm 5'9" so for someone 6' or taller, I'm sure they'd be uncomfortable for a ride longer than 30mins. I'd probably get uncomfortable after an hour and a half, but not excruciatingly so. But since I'm the driver & don't ever have any passengers, it's perfect. At 1st I kind of balked when I saw it had roll up windows 🪟 (I didn'teven know they made cars with roll up windows til I got inside this 1 🤯), sideview mirrors you had to adjust by hand, & door locks 🔒 you have to pull up with your fingers 😒 . . . but in a few hours it grew on me. The less electrical features/components there are, the less likely there is a chance for them 2 malfunction. And if they do break, there probably 3xs as inexpensive to fix as their electrical counterparts. And the smaller the car, the less their is to wash & the less interior to clean when I'm giving Sparkeisha 🚙 her bath 🛁 💦🧼🪣 & detailing. And having a basic engine means less components to go bust. That on top of its purported fuel ⛽️ economy, which I still have yet to verify cuz I haven't even had her a whole 6 days yet & haven't filled her up, but I'm sure she can be any worse on gas than my 1996 Escort or 2004 Sentra were. Anyway . . . I'm in love 🥰 with my "baby 🚙👶🏿"!!

I bought this car in February of this year, there are definitely things that remind you it’s a cheap car but overall I love it. I haven’t had any issues besides only being able to fit a little bit in the trunk, but the backseats have plenty of space for groceries. I think this car is great and I definitely plan on keeping it as long as it lasts

Not a Chevrolet fan. Not even a little. That said, after watching numerous reviews of the Spark I think Chevy knocked this one out of the park. It is simple. Little to go wrong and cheap to repair if it does. Very fuel efficient, better than EPA estimates by most accounts. Relatively comfortable, MUCH more than most cars that size. For people on a very limited budget the best that can be had IMHO. I LIKE simple. I'm a firm believer in the KISS principal. So kudos to Chevrolet. Ford? Are you listening? Not everyone who buys this will remain poor forever. Building a relationship with POTENTIAL customers of more means makes extraordinarily good sense. Chevy owns it at the moment. Versa's out, as their CVTs are known FAILS. Fit is no longer built. smart for two ain't. So the Spark is in a good position. A GOOD entry level vehicle for many who'll have a buck or two down the road. I understand Mike's gripes. I'm big myself. But as he said, he CAN deal with it. New and with a full warranty. Comfortable enough.

I'm not a big guy, but everything else, pretty much I agree with. I've never been (almost) a fan of any domestic mfgs. I was on a tight budget, so I decided, why go broke, getting the maximum I could out of a little car ( honda fit, Suzuki something, Nissan versa, etc) so I researched the cheapest car I could find, that appeared reliable. Did a lot of research. And it came down to the SPARK. Now it appears that by my minimizing everything to the less is more, I now have a lot more bang for the buck. Picked up a 2014, with only 23K miles on it. Quite happy with it.

Yes, agree. It's not really a Chevy, being built by the former Daiwoo, but Chev is wise to offer an entry level car with the bow tie motif. Ford should follow suit . . .

I bought a 2020 Spark LT last year. I like it, but am afraid of the CVT transmission. I heard that the automatic transmission is the biggest weak spot for the Spark and expensive to replace.
