Qashqai is the same. Nissan sells without a spacesaver which increases boot space to attract buyer. Buyer forced to buy spacesaver at approx £250. Buyer later realises boot space and rear seat legroom is crap and buys a Kuga which has more space and is already fitted with spacesaver. DO NOT BUY A CAR WITHOUT A SPARE WHEEL INSTALLED OR MAYBE NOT PREFERENCE FOR SOME:- RUNFLATS eg Mini/ BMW

@@mjames2117 I agree. Bloody silly not fitting a spare as standard. Does anybody really choose a car just because it has an extra 10 cubic litres of boot space. I think it looks fantastic too - I’ve got 19” wheels as an option … Not too bothered about lack of space in the back as I rarely have passengers in the back. Took a test drive earlier in the year of one from the local Ford Dealership and was amazed by it's nippy performance from such a small engine (which is aided by the 48V electric motor), practicality and ease to drive - even for a small person like myself as steering wheel/seat is fully adjustable! Not bothered about the lack of rear seat space as I will only be carrying one rear seat passenger, which will be my mother when I take my elderly parents on trips out. Got a Puma ST-Line on order to replace my 2017 KA+ (which has served me well over the last 5 years but the lack of boot space and the lack of power on hill climbs was the reason to go for the Puma for my next new car) and should receive it by Christmas 2022!

I've spent last month searching for a small car for my family. I had my test drive yesterday. So far THE BEST of the smallest crossovers. great boot space and configuration! lot of space in the back... places for kids water bottles (yes, it's not obvious). front and rear parking sensors, great camera (yes, both are also not so obvious). two weak points: it's noisy (but unlike Kamiq, it's engine noise, not a body noise, so MAYBE some additional work under the bonnet with some mats could solve the problem), you got everything on the steering weel, so buttons are really small. SMALL. You don't have armrest at the back? you are correct, but at least you have a space for a water bottle in the door pockets (unlike Kamiq). This is the only small crossover that I enjoyed to drive with my family. We are just waiting for automatic transmission in the mid of 2020. Oh BTW, the doors cover the entire side of the car. @@3TimesFaster wouldn't go far to say its baron its actually very nice and spacious, the puma just the fiesta I know I've got one. Puma probably does handle better true, but if you're buying small suv you want space and comfort not sport otherwise go for hot hatch.

If you want boot storage, buy a Honda Jazz with magic seats. That will beat any other car for boot space including the Ford Puma.

Practical car until you need a spare wheel. But why complain if you are stranded by the road when you can tell your friends you have drainage plug in the boot.

If only it had slideable rear seats. Also, I hope the digital dashboard uses different display technology because the current Sync 3 screens do a terrible job at displaying black colours in the night, which makes the whole thing very glary

I like it,I would consider buying it.would rather have a spare wheel than a hole in the floor and does it have a CD player ? My ideal car would be a non turbo engine and auto.

Personally I don’t find it attractive. It would be nice to test a lower spec car so we can see what the interior is like. Of course being a Ford it will drive well. Presumably that boot box replaces the spare wheel ?

Contrary to opinion, Americans want to support domestic brands, but we need a reason. Ford sells Puma in the USA, they will be successful...if they don't, Ford conceded the "entry-level" innovative/practical market to the Japanese and Koreans.

Honestly, I feel exactly the same way. Please call or write to Ford Customer Service and tell them we need this new Puma with a manual transmission option. It will sell like hotcakes, especially at the entry-level price for such a beautiful car. I want Ford to bring us this new Puma and offer it with a 6-speed manual transmission. Then, I will definitely buy it for my next car. Honestly, none of the other car companies' offerings excite me like the new Ford cars available in Europe: the Fiesta, Focus Hatchback, and this new Puma. All I want is a practical, fun, economical stick shift car from Ford, who in my opinion has the best designs in the current line-up, not available to their home market!

The EcoSport isn't exactly setting the USA on fire so Ford should at least consider bringing the handsome Puma home. Ford wants to re-brand itself as an innovative high-tech environment friendly mobility company, the Puma fits their new identity. IF the Puma is marketed domestically, I'm betting upgrade to 4 cylinder, AWD and offer 8 speed auto or CVT- approximate 95% of the American market is automatic transmission.
@danielleroux6490

@@jcreed09 But for buyers like me that will only ever buy a manual transmission vehicle, they need to offer the 6-speed as an option or they'll continue to lose that market share to the Asian companies. They sold the Fiesta and Focus with stick shift. Ford's manual transmission is the best in the business, second to none
@danielleroux6490

@@jcreed09 Actually, in this case the 1.0l 3 cylinder Ecoboost with cylinder deactivation is perfect, in either 125 or 150 hp depending on trim level. The mild hybrid system works effectively with the manual transmission. And have you watched the reviews of Ford's manual gearbox cars? They have the best shifter feel and great clutch pedals as well!
@jcreed09

@@danielleroux6490 Of course, even in the USA, the 6 speed stick should be offered. But they'll go with Auto as well in order to mass market - justify to the Ford bean counters.

It looks to be a lovely small SUV and I am tempted to test drive it BUT I wish Ford hadn’t called it Puma. It’s not a Puma! I had the original Puma and loved it. This is nothing like that first Puma.
