If Geely would add Android auto and carplay, auto braking, and adaptive cruise control to this car? Its game over..

Very good review Sir Alex 👏👏👏 Geely is slowly (or abruptly?) turning the Philippine automotive industry upside down (luxury and tech features at very competitive prices, among others). With Geely, MG, Chery, GAC, Changan, and other Chinese brands/vehicles (such as the Ford Territory), Filipino customers need not just dream of luxury vehicles: they are realistically attainable.

My wife and I are considering the Azkarra, but I saw a video where the gearbox overheated during a rocky climb. I don't know, maybe the driver went too far as to go off-roading where it shouldn't be. We're now leaning towards the Coolray.

Excellent review! Been contemplating getting this car and I was happy to see you really testing out the driving experience. The only issue I have with the azkarra is its cargo space :(

@@alexandermovidajr.7136 Seriously?😜😆 Seems to me, the way he talks and present himself has nothing to do with editing... It looks "OA" if he wants to be taken seriously as car guy... The videos should be about the cars presented... Just an observation... FYI... Your comment is not a sentence... Big difference in "trying desperately" to be cool and smart with your so called reply on my comment and actually being one... 😜😆

Thanks. Feels heavier than the coolray definitely but because of its high power to weight ratio and its responsive steering, not as heavy as it should

This car is really attracting a lot of attention but I'm not jumping the bandwagon yet because this platform is not matured yet. We need to know the first hand experiences of the early buyers before we can conclude about the reliability. This is the same stigma that the Korean cars went through last time but over the years they managed to get the trust of the consumers. I have 3 issues with Geely, the DCT is very expensive to replace once damaged due to misuse or not in compliance with the preventive maintenance, the EMS battery is also expensive to replace and the longevity is questionable. At least with Toyota hybrid system the batteries will last the lifetime of the car. How about the Geely batteries? Last is the EMS synergy activates the engine shut off as soon as it decelerate below 15km/hr. This frequent stop/start of engine can cause accelerated wear and tear on the engine especially on the traffic condition of Metro Manila. Although it is cheaper, it lacks other tech features that can be found in Honda Sensing, Toyota Safety Sense or Subaru Eyesight. The cost of long term ownership for fuel and maintenance is higher also considering the cost of replacement for DCT and Batteries. I will prefer the facelifted Honda CRV diesel if it comes out in the market even though it is more expensive because it has a proven platform, frugal fuel consumption that is even better compared to Mild Hybrid, and the resale value is much higher compared to a Chinese made cars. Don't get me wrong, this is a personal opinion. If your budget is enough for Azkarra, by all means follow your heart.

IMO, the trunk capacity is absurdly small. Nowadays even compact hatchbacks have bigger ones. This is a deal breaker
