Just goes to show, if people actually give Chinese cars a chance, they'll be satisfied. Like I think around 12 years ago there was a news report from 9 news or something saying a family had a high speed crash and rolled over several times in their x240, and it kept them safe with the frame barely being effected.

Great review of the Cannon X, im looking at purchasing the base model 4x4 and like others have been a bit wary of the past models. It seems that the manufacture has got it together this time and with all the reviews I have read and watched, I feel confident in purchasing. Plus you cant beat 7 unlimited warranty, 5 year capped priced servicing and 5 year roadside assist. Seems to be a winner all-round.

I own a Cannon X with 30000kms. I have always been a supporter of the brand until now. I went to the dealer Autostrada in Western Australia, for a service and had them look at a minor warranty issue for a delaminating park brake button, along with recalling for the headrests to be replaced. This work was booked in over a month prior to the service date. It’s been over a year and when going to book my 30000kms service I enquired again as the the park brake and it turn out that even though the dealer told me it was warranty and would be replaced they had not even ordered the part and not submitted a warranty claim to GWM/HAVAL. Not only this they did not replace the recall item on the headrests. When I approached GWM/HAVAL HQ I was told it’s my problem and they have nothing to do with it. So basically, your on your own. Ok so you might think this is a dealer/service department issue but can you imagine if this was a larger warranty issue and this was the support you expect to receive. I was going to look at a new vehicle next year and I can be sure GWM/HAVAL are off the list. Warranty support is critical to me and this seals the deal. Thanks for no support GWM/HAVAL, if warranty is important to you seriously consider other brands, as GWM/HAVAL do not provide customer support.

Good in-depth review. Great detail on the interior. Having had cars with flappy paddles I think they are a gimmick. If you want a manual get a proper one. The auto works fine. If they are going to to add options I think they should offer 17” wheels with AT tyres. And the chrome roll bar should be an option. If you want to fit a canopy you don’t have to pay for something you don’t need. All in all though. Is there a better Ute on the market for that kind of money. I think not. All that for $40k is a bargain.
@agautomotive

Thankyou very much I appreciate the feedback. Don't forget to share my channel to keep myself and the channel going. Yes I think the paddle shifters are a bit gimmicky.
