The Half Century of Progress Show is held every other year at the Chanute Air Force Base near Rantoul, Illinois, and is the world's largest tractor show featuring working machinery. This two-hour documentary showcases the hard-working machines that broke the plains to make agriculture the most important industry in the United States. Hosted by farm broadcaster Max Armstrong and produced by award-winning author and photographer Lee Klancher, this engrossing DVD features experts discussing the vintage tractors and equipment plowing, harvesting, and working as they did many years ago.
