Bought this 14 months ago . Living in Sydney . Great car , couldn’t be more pleased . Using it with kids , back seat is spacious as it comes , 90 degree opening doors are great , beautiful to drive and had absolutely no issues with it so far . 8.7L/100km is what I’m getting using 95 . Would highly recommend.

I like the level of detail you go through with the infotainment system. It's particularly useful when you compare it with other brands given that you have a lot of experience. It's a deal-breaker for me when the system is bad. I still reckon you're the best reviewer there is with your presentation style, amount of details you present, that you do a walk around to show exterior design details and consistency across reviews so it makes it easier to compare different models. Cheers! 🍻👏 EDIT: Oh, forgot to mention that you show imperial measures so I don't have to do conversions when comparing to reviews in the US. 👌 And no, not considering Honda at all since they pulled out of Australia. It tells me that they're not selling enough which means it will be hard flogging it off when it's time to upgrade so I've ordered the RAV4 Hybrid instead and will have to put up with the 6-month wait.

I feel like the CRV is the best boring family SUV. 1. Reason its Honda 2. Reason its good. 3. Its honest. All other trying to be something fake in terms of styling both interior and exterior.

Firstly, loving your reviews. Incredibly informative as I'm deciding what to test drive. CR-V reviews typically say how great the storage is compared to competitors. Is the maximum boot space (1084L) correct? It's much much less than Karoq (1630L) and Koleos (1690L) is stated in your reviews for those vehicles. Thanks!

Found my answer. 1084L is load to window. Load to roof is 1717L. So it is indeed bigger than the others.

I bought a LX AWD top of the range last Monday. I did test drive Subaru Outback and RAV4 as well. Subaru roof hit on my head and it was little heavy steering and second row middle seat is not good at all, having three kids 2x14 yrs and one 20yrs to fit in the second row. RAV4 too light and felt like floating on the road and waiting time. I am not an off roader but wanted to have more grip on the road so went for AWD. Seats in this CRV are very hard, better to test drive the badge you intend to buy but it is not possible all the time and that’s what exactly happened to me. Except for the seat car drives well, and will add some comments after more driving. My decision was supported by a value for money assessment with scoring for the features I was after.

Recently purchased the 2021 VTi, upgrading from a 2017 ASX to accommodate a growing family. Being tall space was incredibly important to us particularly with the need to have child seats. The RAV4 was the only other car that came close to ticking our boxes in terms of space and features but my wife preferred the open-ness of the driver cabin space as the centre console was lower and allowed more knee room. We've found the top tether points to be a little bothersome and would have preferred them to be on the rear of the seat as it does impact our rear view - but nothing you don't eventually get use to. There is definitely some customisation ability that we have yet to explore ourselves and would enjoy seeing another infotainment deep-dive! Great review as always Paul, really respect your attention to detail, and pleased that you spoke fairly positive about the CRV which reassures us we made the right choice! Cheers mate, and thanks for personally responding to my email a couple months ago when I asked about the CRV!

But they got rid of the HID xenon lights. One cool feature is you can use the remote control to open and close all windows including sun roof without the engine on. Here in Australia we have to pay more for everything. Unofficially we call it the Australia tax. This car is actually pretty reasonable, if you really want to see artificial price inflation look at the "dual cab ute" segment of the market. Those are usually starting at over $60,000 and even then you get a pretty stripped down vehicle with few luxuries.

I recently bought a 2016 CRV VTI-L and I chose this one over a 2019 model simply because of the engine. I test drove both of these cars at the same time and I honestly didn't like the 1.5L turbo. You really had to put your foot into it to make it do anything where as the 2.4L just glided along effortlessly. Watching your speed test the 1.5L turbo was screaming it's nuts off at over 6000 RPM to reach 100 Km/h. My 2.4L will reach the same speed just as quick without going over 3500 RPM. Fair enough the newer CRV might be a much nicer looking car but in my own honest opinion I think Honda ruined the CRV with the 1.5L turbo. You only have to look at the 2nd hand market to see how many 100's of 1.5L turbo CRV's are for sale compared to 2013-2016 models with the 2.4L engine to see what the general feeling is about the new 1.5L engine. If honda had put the 2.4L engine in its latest models then it would have been a much better car than it is now.

Honda let me drive this for a week (2021 model), courtesy car thang, and whilst I love the interior and its performance, the one thing I hated, going from a Civic, is that the car rocks from side to side when hitting minor bumps on the road. I really liked my 2019 CRV here in Northern Europe it had a 1.5t with a 6 speed manual, just a very undemanding and economical car, well built and very capable, 2000kg towing limit was generous and it towed our 1300kg caravan with no dramas . I changed it for the Hybrid model this year with the CVT transmission as Honda Europe discontinued the 1.5 here, I don't really like it as much the economy is pretty much the same as the 1.5 T the Hybrid is slower too and the tow rating dropped to 1500kg, it is a smoother engine though the 1.5 had a nice throaty growl that is missing on the 2.0 Hybrid.
