im really enjoying the less complicated gymnastics moves ... as 'wow' as it is to watch the extra twists and higher level elite routines, there's something really 'clean' about gymnastics at this level. In much the same way the old compulsories were in the Olympics - where a single, step out layout was one of the most beautiful things to watch - the height it got made it look like time stood still. quite unlike tumbling where there is so much happening. The vaults here are like that - it's slow enough in the air i can see what they're doing - whereas at the Olympic level i cant even tell in the slow motion replays!!!

A tragic end to a tragic story for everyone involved?" What planet do these people live on?These people are being wilfully blind and deaf to the truth. Nassar's and Geddert's victims, the army of survivors, are still suffering the trauma these men inflicted on them as children and they will suffer for the rest of their lives. Anyone who is even minimally aware of the consequences of sexual abuse would know that. These (insert your choice of epithet here) just don't care. The Karolyis, the FIG, the US Gymnastics Association, the coaches who knew and still have done nothing even now that 88 athletes spoke in court. There has been no independent investigation. They Just.Don't.Care. Nothing has really changed. Only the faces of the enablers who are willing for child after child to be assaulted because they prefer damaged children to telling the truth. Look at Simone. Look at Aly Raisman's recent interviews. Not one person from these committees has contacted either of them in the years since the truth came out, not when Nassar's guilty plea and conviction proved beyond all doubt that they were molested, even to ask, "How are you?" Nothing has changed in American gymnastics.

I concur! Women’s gymnastics really could use more ADULT women. Not to mention it’s possible to get a college scholarship even if you’re not elite. Level 10 or 9 works, too. You may not get onto one of the major NCAA teams, but there are junior colleges, etc with programs.

Wonder how many other coaches were involved in this despicable behavior. I guess there will be other suicides when those involved will be revealed. Just think this guy. If pictured with those young girls who won the 2012 Olympics, they are extremely strong young women hiding internally the sexual abuse they’ve encountered. I fully understand these young women and pray that they remain strong minded. Of course they will never forget the abuse and there will be multiple triggers throughout their lives. Everyone involved should be held accountable. That guy taking his own life just like that Doctor who treated those boys who were college wrestlers was just the easy selfish way to handle his wrongdoings. Stay mentally strong to all athletes. Oh, how could I not mention, the sexual abuse of the boyscouts. I could always tell something was not right with Laurie Hernandez and Riley McCusker but they both appear relieved and happy now that they have different coaches. That other coach has been suspended for 5 years. All I can say is that these are some very mentally strong young men and women. All of the abusers will have there day and it won’t be pretty. Damn shame.
