As of 2022, you aren’t buying these new for much less than sticker in the 16s. Days of getting these for 10K are long long gone.

Great car for the money. I drive a Cooper S but I actually like low powered small fun cars. Nothing wrong with them, even on long journeys. Cars like this still do the speed limit.

The 140 mph on the speedometer shows the optimism of this great car.

I’ve got a CVT 2019. Bought new in October of 19, currently at almost 70k miles of Lyft and Doordash abuse. Changed trans fluid at 60k and installed a custom intake for the honk noises, and the thing is amazingly reliable. I’ve added LED headlights for night visibility as well and it just keeps on keeping on. 45-55 mpg consistently.

Somebody bought one and used it exclusively for courier/delivery purposes. Don't remember how long they actually owned it they got 414000 miles on it before they traded it in. And it ran fine from what they said.

I have a 2014 with a CVT. I bought it brand new. I now have 96,000 miles and I’m ready to get rid of it. Try getting on the highway with the AC on… or city driving with AC on. It’s rough. I test drove a forte GT manual and placed an order for a 2023 forte GT manual in sporty blue. It was so much stinking fun to drive a manual transmissions are the only way to go.

The 5MT makes the Mirage a lot more fun than the CVT. It pretty much is a little go kart with a license plate.

I bought mine new with 14 miles on it in 2014. It now has 176,000 miles, and other than two broken clutch cables and a broken wire on the variable valve timing solenoid it has needed nothing other than maintenance.

This car reminds me of my 1979 Ford Fiesta, roughly the same weight, horsepower and size. I drove it for years with no problems.

I own a 2017 Mirage hatchback with manual transmission and it’s actually fun to drive around the city or open road.

I bought a 2017 Saturday with the CVT, and love it! When more power is needed, just pop it into sport mode and it flies!

Other than wishing 1st gear wasn’t so flat, I have no complaints about these vehicles. I’m on my second one & absolutely love them. However, someone had mentioned in a video that a lot of the peak performance out of this engine is in the 3-4K range. Truthfully, that felt weird because it really starts to growl above 3 grand but, once you get onto routinely running it like that, it’s a hoot to drive. The negative reviews are bullshit. This is not me trying to justify my purchase. My second one is a 2022 in Mercury Grey. I love the redesigned nose & I love the red stitching in new seat pattern. If I didn’t love it, I wouldn’t be planning on it being my last daily driver.

I have a 2020 5 speed. This car is no bs and doesn’t try to be something it’s not. I hear the cvt gets better mileage but it’s way more fun with 3 pedals. Reliable and easy to work on. Biggest con is tire choices are extremely limited.

Thanks I enjoyed the review and watching you shift gears. I never drove manual before.
