Romeo's Tillson Street Halloween displays draw visitors from all around Metro Detroit every year. Homeowners up and down the block go all out to design and create spooky scenes ranging from Charlie Brown to evil clowns. Don't worry, it's all family friendly. Displays are typically ready two to three weeks before Halloween, depending on the weather. This video is from two weeks prior to the holiday and everything was about 90% finished.
It can get crazy busy on weekends, so your best bet is to plan a visit during the week. Both daytime and after dark are perfect for touring and have their own mood. Street parking is allowed, except for during posted special events, and additional lots are located downtown and across Van Dyke during busy times. Be sure to make time to stop by the local orchards for treats and fresh picked apples! There are several great restaurants downtown and nearby for lunch and dinner, too. Enjoy your visit to my home town!
