Great, I did the same, didn’t use the RAM mount. It is a great factory look.

In case anyone else bought one of these without instructions like I did you dont take anything apart like you might first assume. Nothing screws INTO the windscreen assembly instead the screws provided simply go through the nut provided in the indent which captures the nut you just leave them loose enough until you place it over the existing hollow fasteners THEN thighten them up which cleverly pins it in place along with the grove on the end that keeps it from flopping. Now I did use a drop of BLUE locktight because I dont trust it might not come loose given there was not even a lock nut. I am writing this because I was dissapointed this video did not include that information BTW I never found the UK guy on ebay just the Chinese knock off guys which appear to be identical so I even saved another $6 and went to China's version of ebay/amazon called ali express and bought for only $29 btw you can use paypal there too which provides some security for actually getting your item or else a refund etc ....unlike most other items I have bought on aliexpress this one took like dang 6 weeks ! Good thing I was not in a hurry lol (I have yet to buy gps) . Looking at this thing I can see it would be better made of light guage aluminum as the plastic has to be quite thick for strength and so ends up I think much heavier than need compared to aluminum....just saying every gram counts on motorcycles in my opinion....Heavy plastics is probably why the T9gt is like SEVENTY POUNDS heavier than the MT09 whis is in fact built on identical platform!! (Same frame wheels engine etc) ..Yamaha cheaped out with heavy plastics etc and then has the nerve to price 50% higher than the naked version?? $10k vs 15k btw that weight does NOT count the hard cases lest you think a lot is in that...nope it is well over 500llb bike with the panniers in place

Thanks for the video! I installed mine over the weekend. Do you ever have any issues with it vibrating? Mine is vibrating like crazy. It's all securely fitted together well and I'm using the same ram mount as you.

It hasn't been an issue with the GPS mounted. However, I ride without the GPS the majority of the time and the mount/arm vibrate quite a bit. It's actually kind of distracting.

Just bought a Tracer 9 GT and came across your video. Thanks for sharing! I have the same GPS and will remount it on the new bike. Curious if you're still using your GPS and mount in the same location after many months of riding? I agree the upper mount will keep your eyes more on the road versus glancing down, but I'm wondering if about the long term review and any drawbacks?

Hi Robert. I'm using it in the same-ish position. I switched my windscreen to a shorter one, so I had to adjust the RAM arm into a position parallel to the ground to keep the GPS out of the wind. But it's still in the same basic position. After many months of riding with it, I have zero complaints. It does not affect my vision of the road at all and it's very easy to glance at it. I think the guy that makes them has a new design that does not require the RAM arm. Search for PrintedParts in the UK ebay store.

@@MotoEnLoCo Hey thanks! Saw your other videos including the new Ermax windshield you're referring to. I'll have to go on a few more rides to see how the OEM stock holds up but will keep the Ermax on my list plus a few others I'm watching videos on.

Loving you videos. Your videos was one of the supporting factors that lead to the purchase of my 2021 Tracer. Loving it so far. What Garmin are you using? Have any opinions on the GPS? Thanks!

Wow! That's awesome. I'm glad to hear that my videos actually helped someone out. I like to make them for fun, but sometimes I wish I could do it for a living, haha. As for my Garmin, it's a Zumo XT. It has a ton of features that I haven't even tried. I bought it mostly because I liked the size of the screen and the type of display. It's more like a mobile phone screen, so it looks very clear and sharp. It's very easy to control with gloves, which is important. Once I actually learn how to use the other features, I'll make a video about it.

How did you attach the mount to your windshield bracket?

Purchased from PrintParts on ebay. Looks like he has a new version of the mount, www.ebay.co.uk/itm/203880709998?hash=item2f783cbf6e:g:8LgAAOSwwqhicq0S The mount comes with 2 small screws and nuts. The nut is held in place on the inside by a molded area. Once you place the cap over the original adjuster, you just turn the screws in and it's held in place by the holes that already exist in that area of the adjuster. At least that's what I recall.

I have the same question. I bought mine through Aliexpress and it doesn't have any installation instructions. Do you have any installation tips to add?
