The T8 cars are for sure to lease. The smart thing about Volvo moving to all 4 cylinder engines (besides being for safety and crumple zones) is that all of their engines are based upon similar components this entire generation. They are optimizing and getting more reliable as the generation continues. I’m sure it doesn’t hurt their their supply chain either and it does seem to help them catch any potential engine related issues. I haven’t had any issues with my recent T5 Volvo. I heard a lot of 2015 T6 (super+turbo) engines having issues early on, but not many complaints of high mileage 2018+ engines. The only downside of modern Volvo’s is they only give you 1 freaking key with the car.

I love Volvos, these are classy looking cars driven by great people 😂😂 In France, well you can be sure German car buyers are crazy drivers but I guess the way you drive in the US is different and more relax. I love this S90 and the interior is so elegant and refined, with these beige leather seats and a two-tone steering wheel plus the wooden trim on the dash. One thing I noticed, no ambiant lighting in any Volvo interiors and that's something I would want in a premium cars for 60k. I like the wheels also, they look elegant. I said a lot elegant because Volvos are beautiful. They are not supposed to be sporty cars because that's not what Volvo car buyers are looking for. And Volvos do a great job being a premium comfortable daily driver.

As a two-time S90 owner (a 2018 and now a 2020 R-Design), it’s my opinion that there’s not a better looking sedan on the planet, and Volvo gets so much right about this car: exterior and interior design, packaging, etc. Having said all of that, I don’t think they’re particularly engaging cars to drive. One man’s “balance” is another man’s “wow, this is neither sporty or comfortable”. Count me among the latter. The ride is relatively harsh (and yes, I have the 4C adaptive suspension), and the power trains are downright course in execution. This is a GREAT sedan in search of a more refined ride and V6 power train.
