Outstanding review!!! You've answered a lot of questions that I had. I'm retired and on a fixed income, so Xpress is by far the best boat for the $$$ on the market, in my opinion. I'm still trying to decide if I really need the X21 Pro, or if the X19 Pro will do everything I need it to do. I likely won't be fishing any seriously rough water, but I do plan on fishing tournaments again. After I retired, I moved from Texas to Louisiana, and the aluminum vs fiberglass is a no brainer, when it comes to stumps, and shallow water. Thank you again for an awesome review, and I'd appreciate your thoughts on my decision between the X21 Pro and the X19 Pro. Thanks!!

If you don’t need the extra 2 ft then the only motivator is more horse power which you can solve by flashing the 200 on the X19.

Beautiful boat. We'd have purchased one of these in central Fl had they been in stock. One of the greatest anomalies we came across before purchasing the boat we have now, is why in the world Xpress wouldn't keep at least a fundamental level of stock in a place like FL, I'll never, ever understand (this was before Covid, btw). According to the Xpress dealer(s) they were all going through the same thing. Looks like whatever was happening, they've bounced back. Congrats on the boat!

@@WillNashFishing yea ive always been in a single console boat and ive been on the receiving end of being out in the open. Cold mornings, cold spray, bugs, wind, passengers take some abuse lol. Texas hippie coalition,,,, gets me subscribed :) was looking at a h18 bass when the msrp was 26k initially.... Then covid crazy pricing hit.... With the price of the x19 being comparable to 19ft glass boats now, would you still get the x19. Or just go caymas/Phoenix/falcon. I've always loved the Xpress boats, but have always been in glass boats. With spot lock and power poles, the wind shouldn't be as much of a factor to glass boats nowadays. I'm looking to buy a boat to use into my retirement years coming up. Max speed isn't my biggest concern anymore, otherwise flash the 200 sho to a 300 and let it eat :) how does the front deck compare to other glass boats. I've only rode in a x18 with the rhino liner, and it was buzzy and the lids rattled. Does the boat list from side to side with a partner in the back walking around?
@WillNashFishing
Жыл бұрын
First off you get extra points for knowing who The Texas Hippie Coalition is lol. To answer your questions I most definitely would buy Xpress again over a glass boat. IMHO it’s a more durable boat and extremely low maintenance while offering high functionality. I have flashed my 200 to a 300 and she will absolutely haul the mail now. While it gave me huge topend end gains I really wanted it for hole shot, mid range acceleration and being able to cruise at 65 mph while only turning 5500 rpm’s. I actually think this boat has more storage tha most glass boats and the front deck is definitely big. I’m 300 pounds and my tourney partner is 280 and we both fish off the front very comfortably.

Did your boat come with an automatic bilge? I want to add one but getting my arm down between the tank and boat is impossible. UGH. I have the same boat except its an X21. Little things Ive noticed is the live well isnt sealed around the top! I lose water in ruff rides which beats the fish up if not careful. Im also taking on water while fishing for some reason. My drain plug is tight. Must be coming in one of the other holes in the back. I also took a tube of black silicone and went around all the seams on the boat to help keep water out like the deck lids etc. When they fold the aluminum they dont seal the folds so water can get in. Not a fan of the power-tech prop it came with either. Had an engineer from Powertech tell me that the prop I have wasnt even suppose to be released yet. He showed me the flat spots etc in it. I really thought with an X21 with a Yamaha 250 and 10" jack plate I cound get mid 70's speed. With just myself in the boat and half tank fuel I can get 67-68mph. Wish the trolling motor was mounted more secure as well. I have 5 express boats and the trailers need tons of attention. Get under boat and check all the bolts on fenders, axels and suspension. While driving I kept hearing a rattle in the rear and come to find out the rear brake calipers were about to fall off. Ive taken them off completely now. I love my boat but for the money I spent, it could be alot better!! Very durable boat and the sea deck is easy to powerwash. OH yea if you have cats or neighborhood cats watch out! They love to claw/sharpen thier claws on the rubber deck. I park under a cover I built for my boat but still have to cover it under cover. Gonna take care of a few cats when I catch em...May have to BBQ one or two. Hope some of this helps. Toby

Mine did come with auto bilge. I had to plug the drain holes in my livewell to stop the loss of water while riding on tourney day but had to do the same thing in my past boats as well. Water will come in the back holes on rough choppy days but its such a small amount it is of no consequence. On calms days i don't see any getting in. The powertech props suck imo, I recommend going with mercury props. I haven't had the cat issue but good to know, thanks for sharing and commenting bud!

One of the most surprising features I noticed and what nearly everyone comments on that rides in it is that the black spray liner stays cool to the touch no matter the heat. Single raptor meets my needs. I mainly use it in the spring when I nose up in the back of coves or around shallow lay downs and it allows me a few extra good casts. @@AnonYmous-kg4ht the boat is lighter than a fiberglass boat so instead of plowing throw them it favors riding over them. I have had it in 20 mph sustained with 30-40 mph gusts. It is very steady. When my 280lb tournament partner shifts from side to side in the back or front deck you don’t feel it where as when I had my RT188 if this happened you would be standing at an angle due to my partner shifting sides.
