I'd say my only complaint on my 2020 r1 is the seat it's definitely kills me, looking into buying the saddelman otherwise I love mine but I'm biased
@Moreflying1

Definitely not a street friendly seat but I do like the shape of it. At least for me, I'm able to transition the hang off left and right easier...if that makes sense.

@@Moreflying1 you'll be able to do the same with the saddleman as it's made for the track and street. If you have no complaints don't replace it. For me after 30 mins it starts to bother me.

You can have sport bikes in CA?

Hey mate which one do you think is quicker in a straight line? BMW or the r1?
@Moreflying1
3 жыл бұрын
I think their top speed is pretty close. Stock-for-stock I think the BMW will get you there faster. It has more mid-range. The BMW is Euro 3 compliant and not as restricted as the R1. Having said that they're both ridiculously fast

Did you get rid of the s1000rr and if so why? Just time for a change?
@Moreflying1

I still have it. I was looking at the new RR but will wait until they get the brake recalls and mid-range flat spot ironed out.

@@Moreflying1 awesome... has it been solid otherwise? There’s another guy on here with a 17 model 9k miles now still sound, & I believe the 2021 models have the leaking issues sorted but the flat spot is due to regulations so that’ll always have to be tuned out, still waiting to see a new gen in person

Great bike and nice riding. But, don't decat it. It will run very poor.

Thank you. I'm not sure anyone has been able to get into the ECU for tuning yet on the 20-21's. Until then I won't de-cat it. It sounds just fine stock though.

Hows the R1 compare to s1000rr?
@Moreflying1
3 жыл бұрын
Need more time on the R1 to say where the differences and similarities are. My perspective will come from canyon riding rather than race track though. I can say the R1 requires less input to turn in or chicane. The RR has a more refined auto blipper and more distinct rev-match. RR has more road comforts built in if you like that. I like the seat radius on the R1 I feel it makes it easier to transition hang off in either direction with ease. That's all I can think of at the moment.

How would you say the rider modes effect the bike in terms of power? Do they dumb the power down a bit to where it’s more forgiving for newer riders?
@Moreflying1
3 жыл бұрын
Mode D substantially reduces power and throttle behavior. It is noticable in power level 4 for sure. All modes are customisable though. Be careful. This is not a beginner motorcycle.
