This video really hit home. Been counting down the days to get mine as well although I've only been waiting 2 weeks 😂 should be picking it up this Saturday fingers crossed. I'm coming from an air cooled Honda 250f so I'm really stoked to get behind the bars of the beta! Good video, thanks for sharing.

Cool vid. I love my 2018 X Trainer, so much so that I've given it to my 15yr old son and I'm buying a 2022 model next week. I did test ride the whole fleet at a couple of test ride days so I knew what I was getting into. I have left the oil injection alone and absolutely love the fact that I can fill up at the servo without mixing, although I do put 5ml of oil into the tank when I do fill it for a bit extra lube. I have found the bike handles better and is alot smoother if you stand up. The more you stand the better it is. I did have the main bearing let go in my bike but beta is warranting that for a while outside of warranty. Loved the vid and keep it up and if you come down to gippsland we can hot some single tracks down here 😉

Thanks for sharing your experience. I have similar intentions with mine - pass it on to my son at around about 15 years old, and upgrade myself! It's now 9 months on since I purchased it, I did disable the OI, but it's all still there - no issues. It is by FAR my favourite bike to ride - it instils so much confidence to 'just have a go'. I'm not expecting to be an awesome rider, but it's nice to know that the bike usually gets me places I never thought I would, and if it doesn't (due to me), it's so light and nimble that it's easy enough to walk/push/drag it up or out. Love it! I'll keep you in mind if I ever get to tour with the bike! Cheers

Nice video. I pretty much went through the same thought process as you. I wanted a lighter more nimble bike than my KLX250. I’m 5’8” and the seat height is the same on both machines. The XT feels smaller. It gave me a lot more confidence in the tight stuff for sure. I’m keeping the KLX for ADV/Dual Sport rides. I look forward to more videos from you and thanks for watching some of mine!

Thanks mate. I was pleasantly reassured that it was a worthwhile buy - as soon as you're in the tight terrain it feels manageable, whereas the DRZ is a bit of a wrestle. It's a bike I feel I'll want to try and learn some skills on too. I didn't feel half as tired or sore afterwards either. But the DRZ definitely has its place on the open tracks! Loving your vids!

I picked up my XTrainer a 2022 from the dealer and on the way home one of the straps broke and over it went in the trailer. As I quickly pulled off the highway all I could think about was it falling off the trailer. A few scratches later and the bike was home. But was a pissssser damaging a new bike before you even ride it.

Bugger mate - would hurt more being a brand spanker! Easy to do. A few months ago we pulled over after driving for an hour to see my bike had fallen onto a mate's bike. Few scratches to graphics. I've recently put a decent dent in my new pipe too - just part of the sport! So much fun though 🤙✊️

Oh boy! Your description of watching KZitem vids and doing the count down reminds me of someone I know. I’ve had four WR450s. Still have two WRs but picking up a new GASGAS EC300 in June…I think. Your throwing a wrench in my plans. At 63 I’m looking for something a little lighter and more nimble for competition. I’m getting tired of wrestling in the mud with the big girls.

Thank you for the video.... Remember there's no dumb questions, just dumb people. My XT is supposed to be here next month....I live @ aprox. 3,000' elevation, but plan a lot of use @ 10,000'. Do you think the jetting will have to be adjusted back and forth? (I leaning towards "obviously." I've looked at a Lectron carb, but you have to delete the oil injection.....with the OI being a feature I really appreciate.

Hi John, I'm still very much in the learning phase, especially regarding jetting, etc. I think your best to talk with your mechanic or a forum (but you might get 10 different opinions). My first mod is gonna be the OI delete. Picked up the kit, just need the time now. We'll see how successful I am. I would like to keep the OI but I'm too far from the dealer to whip it back and forth. It might be convenient, but not so much IF it fails somewhere!

Was the talk of the Xtrainer group right when I was picking mine up... quite a few 2022 were corroding the ECU pin that powered the oil pump. I don't mind mixing my fuel so deleted it. Very quick to re-connect if I sell it and next person wants it.
