I keep looking for reasons to prefer the EUV -- and it's a tough go. We almost never have a rear seat passenger -- the only measurable reason to buy one over the regular EV. If GM had added 6 inches of *cargo space* it might be worth the range hit and $2,000 higher cost. But three inches of added rear seat leg room (and another 3 inches who knows where) is not enough to move the needle.

There is extra space in the cargo area and if you fold the seats, you get all that extra room.

@@encellon from the back of the front seats to the back hatch is longer and the same width. There is a slight difference in the height due to the sloping roof on the EUV, but it is marginal. I compared my EUV to a EV on the lot when I was purchasing. The folded seats do have a fairly large gap between them and the fronts which is open to the floor as well.

You can add ventilated seats to the EUV base model. You can get a sunroof in the EUV. Still if you can live without above options the Bolt EV is the more cost effective model if you can live with the looks.

You can make a lot tighter turns with the EV. Turning diameter for the EV is 34.8 while the EUV is 38.3, that's a huge difference is you are doing a lot of driving downtown, parking in parallel, etc. I use to own a 2007 Tacoma Extra cab 4WD loaded I bought new in 2007. I was doing professional photography in CA and I would travel to San Francisco regularly. It was tough find a spot to park the Tacoma, but I really didn't notice it. Then I bought a Nissan Cube and I COULD NOT BELIEVE how easy it was to find parking, get into park, and zip around San Francisco vs the Tacoma. I was astounded by it. So the turning radius is no joke. That said, I really do like the EUV looks better. BTW, we just bought an EV LT2 loaded. We're waiting for our wire to clear the dealer and then I can pick it up. I'm still having reservations about maybe changing to the EUV :( What do you guys say?

I just got the Bolt. It's my first EV. I hated looking for charging the first week and dealing with the customer service. However, the car itself is worth it. It is fast, it accelerates and it has room. It's the perfect utility vehicle for getting around town. This is the purpose of EV to me. Due to the limited range of EVs, they should be looked upon as practical cars, not luxury. The only other real problem I have with this Bolt, is that it could have been designed way better, for handling. They could have made this one a real winner, but instead, created something that is simply fun to drive and get around town. I highly suggest anyone test drive one of these little toys for themselves...

Charging time is faster for the VW ID.4. But I don't think the VW ID.4 will be more comfortable because the Bolt's new front seats are suppose to be more comfortable than the older Bolts. The VW ID.4 starting price is $39,995 but the Bolt EUV is 33,995 and EV is 31,995. Also the Bolts are actually very roomy inside Eventhough the VW is larger outside, but inside is about the same as the Bolts and in some measurments the Bolts are more roomy: Front Head Room: VW ID.4 = 40.6" Bolt EUV = 40" (39.1" with sunroof) Bolt EV = 40.1" Rear Head Room: VW ID.4 = 37.9" Bolt EUV = 37.8" Bolt EV = 37.9" Front Leg Room: VW ID.4 = 41.1" Bolt EUV = 44.2" Bolt EV = 44.2" Rear Leg Room: VW ID.4 = 37.6" Bolt EUV = 39.1" Bolt EV = 35.6"

what I like to know.. any maybe it is just me. But Chevy made this to fail.. why not just bring the Chinese, European and Indian version of this car here. they are both made in the same plant. but the Chevy Menlo is wider. longer and faster and a lot better looking and has 150 quick charge. so why dose China and the world get the better version of this car? it is like Chevy wants to fail. I assume the CEO's are not that smart and do not under stand that all new cars are to be it is 100% electric world wide by 2035, some places as early as 2030.. so why not put their best foot forward in the US market? or are they just going to let the Chinese auto industry take over our markets?
