@@DrivenCarReviews , that happened due to the prices of the vehicles and the damn envirotards lying their fucking asses off to people about how great electric vehicles are for the environment, never mind that they are ironically polluting the environment WORSE than internal combustion engine based vehicles, that they also interfere with radar, they interfere with natural navigational systems of animals, birds, and insects, they literally cause cancer, as well as hearing loss, in people and in animals, and that the materials that are used in making them not only come from the very same war zones that people bitched about when it comes to the internal combustion engine based vehicles, but that slave labor is also used in making them, and that the materials themselves pollute the environment due to all of the mining that is needed in order to make them in the first place. Yeah, smooth move there, Ex-Lax, you are doing one hell of a bang up job in saving the environment by destroying the homes and lives of people and creatures, you know, the environments that you dumb ass hypocrites and liars are falsely proclaiming that you are saving all the damn time? Those land yachts were awesome Pimpmobiles, were they not? Also, given enough aftermarket mods, they could tear up the streets as much as the legendary CTS-V, ATS-V, and CTS-V SportWagon. Now if I can only retrofit, as well as massively modify, an old Buick V8, namely, one that would be found in a GSX, to be shoehorned into a Buick Regal or Buick Regal TourX Wagon, or its Opel and Vauxhall counterparts/siblings, along with any other necessary upgrades to such vehicles, then that would be an awesome set of vehicles.

It's just a shame that this costs so much. Back in the 60's, performance was obtainable. Today, it is only for buyer with serious bank accounts or those who have save up 5 or years in order to manage it. They could sell more and reduce the appeal to the investor by simply charging a reasonable amount. If you're an investor, buy a financial instrument, not a car. The pricing is simply out of line. A case in point: Jeep charged $195 for it's Gorilla glass option into the 22 model, but very recently decided to hike the price to $495! $300 more for a piece of optional glass (keeping in mind you always get a windshield anyway, making this an incremental cost on the part of the manufacturer). What gets me even more is the phenomenal waste of money by GM on the Blackwing V-8 which saw so few applications in such a short time you hardly heard about it and hardly, if ever, see one. You could buy two well-equipped CT5's for the price of this one. Is it really worth an entire additional CT5 for the variance?
@bloominguez

I'm afraid that this is what "we" voted for. If you, as a manufacturer, could only produce a limited number of such cars due to fleet fuel economy reasons, I suspect you'd do the same thing GM did and build those few such vehicles in the highest priced configuration you could.

November 2021 'Rory Harvey, vice president of Cadillac, said approximately 1/3 of Cadillac dealerships chose to not get onboard GMs EV plans for the brand and will totally close shop (take an incentive from GM). The automotive industry will look very different in less than a decade. I had the opportunity to drive a Rivian R1T and was shocked that a new brand could be this impressive (design details, fit /finish, NVH management, performance) on their initial product offering. While I did not test the performance, the R1T (7,000 lbs) reaches 60 MPH in 3.0 - 3.5 seconds (faster than the CT5 V Blackwing) and a 60-0 braking effort of 117 ft. As technology advances, we may see full ICE parity (price, range, 'refuel', performance) within the decade.

Awesome car. I'd love to get one but if I did, I'd probably lose it in the divorce that would be sure to follow. 😂

American car is very powerful, high tech, reliable. I wonder from Americans that they buy japenese or Germany's ( newly Korean). They Should notice that other nations don't buy American's cars , ( japanese. And french and German people merely buy their national brand ) even Chinese buy their own production cars although thier production is not good

That’s insane Cadillac wanting $104,000 for the model you were driving. For that kind of money I would rather buy a Lexus.
@DrivenCarReviews

$106K actually. Which would buy a nice LC or LS. But this would blow the doors off anything Lexus makes if it’s performance you want.

Twenty years ago this would have been a success. In 2022 it seems late to the party. $100k can buy you base model Posche Taycan electric. You gas savings could go toward a Nice Miata for the pure fun of it.

This is a Boomermobile, pure and simple. Will this really be a collector's item when widows start dropping garage-kept Corvettes all over the market over the next decade?

Hate to say it, Ct6V beats this and the CTS in looks luxury AWD and insane power. Don't think people realize how much the CT6V provides with all the tech ect... it sounds much more unique too.

I'm not so sure about that A base CT6 is more luxurious than a base CT5 but I don't think the CT6 ever had the carbon fiber options, carbon fiber semi-aniline seats, etc.. It did have an option for a more insane Bose Panaray audio system but otherwise I'm not sure it's any more luxurious and it's certainly down on power by over 100hp. Regarding tech you don't get MR 4.0, manual option, etc. with the CT6V.

@@rdollie1 not talking base (means nothing), the ct6v blackwing twin turbo v8 4.2(real one not a tuned old tech engine) has plenty of carbon fiber tbh. I'm talking about the whole packadge full sized sedan not mid sized, rear entertainment system, rear wheel steering, AWD, NV, 360 recorder, 3.7secs to 60, 34 speaker bose system pumps, integraged display not some slapped on tablet, much posher inside and out, and again a very unique sound vrs the same ol. The tune and ride for the ct6v bw mag is much more refined then the ct5v bw and turns much tighter.

@@aarongopnik-ramshaw7164 I think it's fine for what it is - a luxury car with speed. I'd opt for a BMW M550i over it I think for similar money but the CT6-V was competitive in that space. The CT5-V BW is aimed at the enthusiast market more so than the CT6-V which is why it's a Blackwing model, not just an engine that eventually may have been developed to have similar power to the LT4. Unfortunately we'll never know. The CT6 had some real advantages as a starting point against the 7 series/S-class/etc. - much lighter (actually lighter than 3rd gen CTS), better handling, better price, etc.. If electrification AND the move away from sedans for luxury SUVs hadn't come along I'm guessing there would have eventually been an actual CT6-V Blackwing model with an updated version of the Blackwing V8, maybe.

@@rdollie1 hmm na manual is only bonus, but if that's what u want go ahead, ct6v is more comparable to a 7 series at a much lower cost. M550i is lol different sized cars my dude, and that one is comparable to a ct5 none v base model. I've seen the ct6v smoke an Alpina so sorry don't agree.
