Thanks for the video. Did you replace the copper seal ring on the drain plug? Also why do you say to leave the drain plug open when installing the new filter?

Hi, I wonder what's your engine oil temperature in summer? I'm located near the equator and my oil temp is about 105-111 degree celcius.

What type of oil you used? There is no dipstick to check the oil level, so you had to pour 5.8 qts exactly?

Unfortunately, on these newer cars, there’s no dipstick everything’s electronic. You’ll have to go into the steering screen where it says maintenance.

Where's the STI?

I sold it😔. I noticed the coolant temps were going up while driving on the highway, I stopped and check coolant was good. Oil was low, had rod bearing issues. Car burns a lot of oil, especially with all the mods. Decided to move onto better things, something more reliable and makes more power easily. Don’t get me wrong, Subarus are amazing and very fun cars to drive, but take too much money to make horsepower.

@@briantoolive Sad news, If you don't mind sharing some more about your previous mods I'm kind of curious now that you mentioned that, I just found your channel because of that wheel bearing vid and I was looking forward to more vids lol. I have a 18 STI with cobb redline intake, cylinder 4 cooling mod and a few suspension mods but that's about it, I've had it for 3 years and no problems.

@@DannyAlcaraz I had intake, Downpipe, injectors, fuel pump, blow off valve, full cat back exhaust. There was obviously some supporting mods that were missing and probably making a lot of restrictions on the horsepower part. Upgraded fuel lines, fuel pressure regulator and keeping the stock blow off valve, might’ve helped making more horsepower. Also cooling mod for cylinder 4 and oil catch can might’ve helped on the lifespan of my STI. This was my first car adding modifications to it, so I definitely learned a lot from it and it was a pretty fun experience. The sounds that the STI made was unbeatable. Dual exit N1 made the rumble sound good, HKS blow off for the bird chip sound, and the intake for suction noise 😮💨 unbeatable sound
