Both great bits of kit but i would lean towards the smooth controls of the McConell, these frosts are helping to get on the wet fields and do jobs like this spring is a coming.

Hello nice vid, I've got the same bomford trimmer, I also drive the McConell equivalent. Mcconells controls are definitely a bit nicer, however I think overall I do prefer the bomford. Much cleaner cut, nicer around trees and poles, and the movement is so much quicker, especially boom in and out. The bomford header also doesnt seem to squash tall growth down as much before it gets cut.

Tidy job there mate I have a question What tyre pressures are you running at? I looked at bomford but it was quite a bit heavier for my tractor compared to the McConnell can't compare control as I've only use cable machine's 👍 Have a good weekend cheers 👍🐜

Haven't actually checked them this season but usually try and get the head side tyre around 20psi. Once uv tried elec joystick controls its hard to go back to cables.

Cheers Ian do like a tidy office 😅. Not had anything to do with fingerbars but have looked into them a little in the past. Look quite handy providing u don't mind a little tidying up after. Thought I'd not seen a vid in a while

Hi mate you don't need that bracket slew the arm folded so the top of the arm is about 8 inches past the right corner of the cab then pull it back onto the stop with the head in a vertical position good to go.also I fitted a ratchet to the top link sparex do them takes all the maul out of adjusting the A frame .

Bomford can change a valve and the main lift ram then becomes double acting. This will stop the arm from moving in transport and stop it from hitting the cab. Ask your dealer.

Well you’ve surprised me! Didn’t think you’d like the bomford that much 🤷♂️. Tidy job on that Laurel hedge, they can be a right arse to cut even by hand!
