I was VERY impressed with Deadstream. It's definitely a fun movie! Let me know what you think when you see it. I have to admit, I'm not as much into modern horror films, so I was surprised I enjoyed these. Thanks again for watching!!

I haven't seen Smile or Barbarian but I can guess what the latter is about :) Deadstream's ok but I wasn't blown away.

I definitely recommend checking out Smile and Barbarian. Modern horror is usually pretty lame to me, but I did enjoy these three films. I'd be very curious to hear your thoughts on Barbarian. Just keep your expectations in check.

I have to admit that I tend to skip most new horror movies. I usually find them lacking the charm of older movies and there is usually little character development. Plus, I hate the look of most new movies in general. They look very bland and boring. I didn't bother with these movies but I did watch Sick. It was written by Kevin Williamson so I was interested right away. It takes about 20 minutes to really get good but when the action starts it doesn't stop. I loved Sick! Great writing and the movie looked really good. The effects and kills are really good. It's streaming on Peacock right now. I think you may like it. The only new movie I'm really looking forward to right now is Scream 6. It actually looks like it might be good. I enjoyed the last one but felt some of the characters were a little bland

I feel the same way! Modern horror is not something I tend to seek out. But I kept seeing articles saying 2022 was such a great year for new horror films, and I realized I hadn't seen most of them! But I did enjoy these. And there's some new stuff coming out this year that I'm curious about. Oh, and I did see Sick! Great movie! I actually think they should have released it to theatres. I guarantee it would have been a hit. And I'm a huge fan of Kevin Williamson, so I was very happy with it. And yes, I will be there opening weekend for Scream 6. I can't wait! I also enjoyed Scream 5 as well. But I liked it much more on my second viewing. It had some flaws, but overall was another solid entry in the series. I feel like Scream 6 is going to be really good. And I'm hoping for some Jason Takes Manhattan references! 😆

@@RetroAnalogEntertainment I would love some Jason Takes Manhattan references. I'll have to watch that before going to see Scream. I'm so glad you liked Sick. I hope they release on Blu-ray or at least dvd. I'd love to own it

@@redwillow79schippers94 OH me too! It's so weird nowadays, with a lot of these streaming services not releasing their movies onto physical media. But I hope Sick gets a release. It will be an instant buy from me if it does.

I've yet to see Smile. Deadstream was a huge let down the main villain just wasn't scary.

Yeah, I did find the whole back story for the villain to be a little convoluted as well. But I did enjoy the movie. Modern horror is tough for me. It's hard for me to really get into it most times, but Deadstream kept my attention. Not a perfect movie by any means, but I had fun with it. Oh and I do recommend Smile. Just don't go in expecting a horror classic, and I think you will enjoy it.
