I've owned an EV6 first edition (fully loaded AWD) for six months now. The stock 19-inch Kumhos on the Wind (mid-level) trim are just awful. You don't get any of that tire whine into corners with the Continentals that come on the 20s (GT-Line and First Edition). This car is very well balanced with a low center of gravity (like most EVs), has very good ride quality and handles well for such a heavy vehicle. Those of you guys interested in this car but don't want to break the bank, go for the Wind w/ tech package (same as in this video), and just swap out the tires as soon as you get the car and you're set. I'd go for aftermarket 20s with some Michelins. (21s will hurt range and ride quality)

My sonata hybrid has that park assist feature, and though it seems gimmicky, I've actually used it twice in two weeks of ownership. Once to pull in closer in a parking space after i got out and realized there was lots of room in front, and again when someone parked too close to my driver's side door at the mall. The mall patrons were *not* happy about waiting for me to pull it out into the aisle, but it worked and I didn't ding my car door!

I know the video is a few months old now and someone (or maybe you figured it out yourself) probably already mentioned that the sound system absolutely HAS to be adjusted/customized manually in the sound settings. I’m not going to lie, the first experience I had with my EV6 the system sounded dull and rather uninspiring. However, after tinkering with the EQ and surround settings it sounds A LOT better. If you haven’t already done this, there’s now plenty of videos and forums highlighting this exact issue about how Kia’s basic original sound system setting make it sound terrible, but after the necessary customizations it sounds great. If you set it to custom and edit all the details the Meridian system is much more appreciated and respected. Just a little tip I learned after being so disappointed at first with my sound system. I have the same model too, the Wind AWD.. but it’s a 2023. So far, so good! I love how it rides. Great video with a lot of quality information. I learned a little about the highway driving while watching this, so I very much appreciate it. Thank you for the upload!

If gas prices aren't an issue for you, the Stinger is not a mistake at all. I had a 2018 Stinger GT2 before my EV6 GT-line eAWD. The technology bump between 2018 and 2022 is very appreciated. However my Meridian Surround system did die on me and I went to the dealer regarding a replacement amplifier back on July 29 and they still don't have my part and there's no ETA for my part, so I've been going about a month now with no sound system which is honestly a joke... disappointed on that end but it's not entirely Kia's fault- global problem unfortunately.

I own the GTline AWD and it's been one of the best vehicles I've ever purchased. Bought it back in March before the proliferation of markups and market adjustments. If an owner qualifies for the federal tax credit of $7,500 and doesn't get hammered by markups on the delivery side, it's an excellent alternative to a Tesla and probably one of the most competitive models in the segment. Unfortunately, the tax credit was eliminated with the signing of the IRA and now it doesn't have the value advantage, especially since dealers won't be dropping the markups anytime soon.

I recently took my GT-line on a road trip from the eastern border of Pennsylvania to Madison, Wisconsin and what would've been a 14h 35m or so trip (not including stops at gas stations) turned into like 16h 20m with my charging stops. I just learned today, by a fluke searching for used Kia Niro's, that these 225HP Wind models exist: But I'm clueless at the moment, on how a RWD EV feels. Your comments though about the suspension tuning has me curious: Do you think this exact trim model you were reviewing here, would soak up bumps and street potholes better than a 2022 KIA NIRO EX Trim that weighs I believe under 3800 LBS. I tend to prefer a softer ride at my age now, which is why I'm more into KIA NIRO with it's multi link better suspension over say the Chevy BOLT EUV, which still uses an inferior torsion rear suspension in the rear.
