IS that the Yahama windscreen? How do you like it?

Yea it is. I really like it, as you can see I get up to over 145 and the wind is minimal. On the road i wear leather jacket and the wind doesn't bother me so I don't really notice any difference.

Friend would you please comment how the big screen effects the stability of the bike at speeds over 145 miles per hour all the way to top speed..

Is this the part number B5Y-283J0-00-00 ? It looks like yours is different from the one on Yamaha web. I see a grid lines above the display on your screen.

On my MT09 SP I had the Puig touring windscreen fitted - it makes all the difference at 130+ speeds, adding to (aerodynamic) stability - in combination with tight racing leathers and an AGV Pista RR helmet...

Debating between non sp mt10 and speed triple rr for purely road and canyon riding, I'm currently on an rsv4.

The triumph right now has a few issues such as no separation of wheelie control and tc, coolant leaks, remote key malfunction, exhaust valve cover flying off, and also you have to remove the exhaust to remove rear wheel. As you can see I know a few things about it but that’s because it was one of the top contenders for me and as a matter of fact I would be on one had the sp didn’t show up on the dealer floor. It’s a close one but I’d go with the triumph, it gives me that special feel when I test rode one.

@@hipposnakeyo so despite said issues, you think triumph is still the better bike? Handling, torque? I don't really need crazy top end, but low end and mid range is what i need more and handling. The rr looks great too, reason why I'm going away from rsv4 is the roads we ride, really hard to ride downhill tight corners, or uphill blind right handers when you're hanging and really low. Plus with tight roads(check my vid with the mt10 following me), I can't really get out of 1st gear unless i want to have no exit power and no engine brake. :/

@@motorjack141 sorry I was thinking the rs not the rr, the RR is too uncomfortable for me to do longer rides, I much prefer a higher handlebar setup than clipons at road pace, it also feels better going downhills too. I'd pick the RS over the regular mt, for me I just don't want to see people on the same bike everywhere lol. Handling wise I don't know if you ridden the street triple, but the speed felt exactly the same, agile and stable, amazing really, and there's a lot room to move back and forth whereas on the MT I'm kinda locked in. IMO the sense of lack of torque came from the characteristics of the triple sound and also the bike setup to accelerate other than do wheelies, in that sense it's a lot like a sportbike that you just don't feel like you're going fast until you look down at the speedo, I have full confidence the speed will be a lot faster than the MT at the track, on the road it's all about how much risk you want to take and not worth it.

@@motorjack141 excuse the intrusion but if the case is as you describe why are you not looking into the middleweight category - like the mt09, ktm 890, monster, z900, street triple etc maybe more suitable for this type of riding -

@@avrc9285 i tried the xsr900 on the same roads, suspension and chassis wasn't very good, i understand the new one is a lot better though. But on that note if i didn't like the xsr900, then z900 is probably out of the question. Z1000r did pretty well over there though.

Nice bike and nice riding. How do you like the bike compared to others you've ridden?
@hipposnakeyo

Thanks. I’ve had a few modern super bikes and a 2015 BMW s1000r. I’d say this is more comfortable than the BMW due to higher bars and lower pegs so it’s a better road bike, on track it’s also more stable. But the brakes on the BMW has much more bite and the higher pegs allowed more corner speed. I started to lose my confidence as I kept scraping my pegs on the MT so if It’s my only bike I’ll have to change out the brake pads and install some rearsets, but as a road bike it’s perfection.

@@hipposnakeyo Thanks for the detailed response! After riding sport/literbikes for years, I'm finally ready to make the jump to a supernaked for improved ergonomics since the majority of my riding is street/canyons. Debating between this (MT-10SP) and the Tuono Factory and it's a tough call.

@@Jrstrdr No problem. I’ve ridden the 2020 tuono and have a 21 rsv4, can’t go wrong with it as long as you don’t need to sit in the traffic often and have a good dealer nearby.
