Mr Toronto guy here living in Japan with my top grade Mitsubishi outlander. My display screen is full digital so I was kind of shocked to see these analogue speed gauges on the left and on the right. I don't know what model this is you have showing. Also, my vehicle comes with the power drive mode so that's an additional mode totalling 8 modes my vehicle has. I was hoping I could hear something about how that functionality works. Also I'd like you to get more detail in like the actual percentages of energy and how the electric motors operate with the petrol engine in regards to each mode. That would be awesome! Thanks!

Hey Mr. Mitsubishi, I just purchased a new 2022 Outlander fully loaded model, wanted to check with you have you had any complaints with wind noise in the cabin from any of your clients when at highway speeds, mine seems to whistle once I hit 70km or higher, just wondering if this is just a seal defect in my one or something more known, am dropping to dealer?
@mr.mitsubishi
2 жыл бұрын
Hey! Congratulations on your purchase! No, that's not a common issue. Must be a window seal defect, dealer should be able to pin point it and fix it under your warranty!

When you have it in mud or snow mode, does it limit how fast you can go? I know some other SUVs with AWD Lock only allow you to go 25mph.

So the car has no 4WD LOCK mode? All theese other options sounds fance and nice but why would you need anything else than eco, normal and lock? Woth electric motors on front and rear axels it is a programing issue and they are stupid if they left out the LOCK function.
@mr.mitsubishi

No lock function.. But each drive selection has a but of different feel and response, once you do the real life driving.

This isn't an "Off Road 4x4" by any means, this is a family oriented SUV that has the capability of going down trails and dealing with bad weather. It's AWD System operates with the car detecting wheel slip and applying throttle and or brakes to give traction to all 4 tires. Unlike an actual 4x4 with locking diffs, this one has to spin the wheels, detect the slipage, then the computer swaps throttle around. It will not follow a Wrangler through hell and back lol. But these drive modes adjust the steering speed, throttle input, and how firm the suspension is. Like in Eco I nearly got T-Boned when I first tried it out in mine, the throttle was so sluggish and delayed I had to slam on the brakes before creeping into traffic! Tarmac makes the steering and throttle more aggressive, ect ect. This particular body style isn't the PHEV for 2022, so this one he was talking about and mine is 100% gas/petrol powered.

Nice video...is S-AWC 4WD or is it AWD? I heard the S-AWC is another fancier name for 4WD.
@mr.mitsubishi
2 жыл бұрын
S-AWC provides additional toque vectoring technologies to provide more predictive handling by managing the left to right driving and braking forces. Basically typically power is distributed front to back but with S-AWC it gets adjusted side to side as well.

For rain, I wouldn't use anything different that you are using on your daily drives. It has all the safety systems and S-AWC to protect you from slipping out etc. When it comes to driving modes, I made a video on 3 most commonly used and what the real life difference is: kzitem.info/news/bejne/xq1-nKissYOngmU

In mine, which is JDM, we have a "Power" mode, which is real Sports Mode.
