If we’re being honest, 80hp is fine. Coming from someone whose bike has 175hp haha.

@@RemboUSMC it’s funny how we get hung up on numbers. 80hp with a rider that’s the power to weight equivalent of like a Corolla with 450hp and no one is going to complain about that.

Just bought one yesterday in Baja orange. It's a lot of fun. I'm 5'6 and cannot flat foot both feet. But it's so light I feel even more confident on it than on my previous Harley that I could flat foot. And one foot down feels more stable too cause of how light it is. I'm still breaking it in so haven't been able to really give it a lot of revs, but it still feels pretty torquey for its engine size. As far as the interstate goes, I've taken many a long trip on cruisers with no windshield so I'm not worried about the wind. I'd say if someone doesn't like wind, a bike may not be the right vehicle for them lol

As a fellow 5'6" human, have you ever dropped it and how's the general handling at low speed? I've only ridden 160cc bikes because I was in a third world country, so I've been curious about this from someone with a similar build to me

He is right, it's a Fun, light, flick able bike. When out of third the action starts! Considering the market this bike is aimed at, it deserves to do well. I recently traded my street twin in, which was a good bike, but after 3yrs, I wanted a change. I'm 59 and have had quite a few bikes this one, makes me feel younger, the usable torque is where you need it! This bike responds well when asked. Will probably fit a scorpion system on it, that would complete it! 👍

I'll be picking up a Trident 2023 in Baja Orange next Saturday , as a second Bike to just ride the stink out of it. It'll keep my 2021 R9T-719 company. Love the look of this bike, looks much better in Person, great attention to detail, looks quality.

Do you have a video where you define "beginner" bike? Nobody, seems to do this. I am looking at this and the tiger 660 for my first bike but every reviewer has a different set of metrics for defining a beginner bike/biker. I just discovered your channel and I am enjoying your content.
@RemboUSMC

The word beginner covers a wide range of people. There are many factors. I believe anything under 700 is good for a beginner who is an adult. Both bikes can get you in trouble if you don't respect them. The Trident 660 is another bike that I really like a lot. The price point of this Speed 400, however, makes it a true beginner bike because if you decide you don't like riding, your loss is less.

Absolutely great bike for the price. They do a Tourer with the same engine. Not sure if it’s released there yet? You have bucket load of straight roads there! You need to move to another state where there are mountainous twisty roads. Quite boring actually 😉. No wonder you have 26K miles on your Multistrada V4S of 18 months thus far. All freeways.🤦♂️

You mean the 🐅 Tiger 660 Sport Tourer which is ideal for touring & has a 17liter tank 3liters more than Trident.The Tiger is taller & has fly screen but is 17kg heavier & better for long trips.The Trident can be used for touring & if use to bikes without screens be no issue but a screen can be added.

Hi Stephen, how are you? I don’t believe that a bike like this is designed for very long-distance trips at higher speeds on freeways, such as 80 to 90 miles an hour because of the issue with the wind. I have done cross country trips, 21 hours One-way. To do that on a freeway for two or three days in a row would not be the best choice. I hope that you understand the context of my comment.
