@IKhanNot
2 жыл бұрын
@@DJ_Cue Not necessarily true. A good emissions system and computer tuning can make very powerful motors low on Co2 emissions. In some cases the smaller motor will product more because it has to work so hard to keep the vehicle moving, especially larger ones, and ends up burning more fuel in the process faster. By your mentality we should put a 1 cylinder motor in all vehicles.

My first SUV, leased because I’m 6 ft (and way old!) and I prefer the easier access and seating position. If you’re concerned about expensive repairs after mfg. warranty expires, my insurance (GEICO) covers 7 years or 100K miles when you insure brand new vehicle. Absolutely agree. Granted, quite a few buyers of this Tiguan are going to get a tune up...but to genuinely compete in an already crowded market I think VW needs to bump up the base power output across their whole SUV lineup, and they also need to start adding splashes of more luxury materials in their interiors instead of the monotonous hard/soft plastic visible nearly everywhere in their cabins. As things stand, with this comparison the current higher trim CX-5 Turbos are the hands-down winners: they have a lot more power and torque with superior handling and steering feedback, they offer more luxurious materials in the cabin with a much better build quality, and in general have better reliability. Buyer-specific needs aside, at this point in time the CX-5 is just the far better value for money choice.

@@PaoloFrancesco99 Yeah the rear legroom I don't find to be so much of an issue as some people make it out to be, at least not as a 5'10", average height guy. I've tried it out and sat behind my driver's seating position and there's enough space to stretch out my legs a bit. If you're like 6'2" or taller though then yeah I think the CX-5 backseats would be too cramped. The rear cargo room is also not a huge deal-breaker IMHO, it's nothing special (definitely not class-leading) but it's plenty enough for the necessities of a single person, a couple or a small family with one child, a small dog, and so on. If prospective buyers really need more space in the back then essentially they're looking at the wrong type of vehicle in the first place, and need to move up a segment from the CUVs to the 2.5/3 row SUVs like the CX-9 and its competition. The roof rack/carrier on the CX-5 is a great idea for adding extra cargo room in a pinch, and seems like a smart way to go rather than spending more on a car that drives, rides, feels and looks a whole lot worse just for an extra few inches of space in the back. And yes, pano roofs while nice to have they can also be a nightmare of leaks in the long run. I'm happy with my CX-5's simpleton sun roof. :D
