Well this makes sense now, stock RPM limiter is stopping the bike from making full power, but the power it does make is consistent with what it was making before until the limiter is hit.
A ton of great sound clips of the bike being thrashed on the dyno in this video and despite using literally the best Rode microphone, it still sounds better in real life.
The ECU 'flash' that was kindly unlocked for one time only by Yamaha is very mild and with the new airbox, injectors, fuel and exhaust these were never factored in to the map at that time, so there is still a lot left on the table.... the good news is this model ECU is about to be unlocked by woolwich racing in a few days, so when that is done we will finally see what she really can do.
99% there now with this bike, the goal is 90whp+ with more power everywhere over stock and again this is still a stock engine, stock 525 chain/sprocket, only the forks have been upgraded for my weight.
About the Quick Shifter:
Its great, never misses a shift no matter what speed or rpm you are at, I will keep abusing it before I am confident to release to the public.
It is almost plug and play like stock, just a simple wire splice and connector swap that takes all of a few minutes to do, the bike instantly recognises it like OEM.... just without clunky low speed changes which the official one suffers with... amongst all the other issues it has.
When you are going flat out it changes so fast it feels like a DCT in a car, just a shame it's only upshifts, but that is baked into the ECU from the factory so it will always be this way.
