It was super windy so keep the volume low. I ran 5 sets of 5000mah packs through the truck. Trying a new set of CNHL 70C packs that seemed to perform really well in it. Also bumped the gearing up since last time from 29/46 to 31/46. Takes the run time down a bit, but makes back flips pretty easy now.
While running it, I wrapped the wheelie bar with a strap to pull it up to nearly touch the bumper and ran with it like that for the last 3 or 4 sets of packs. That allowed it to carry a high wheelie a lot easier, but still rode on the wheelie bar wheels before the rear of the body snagged on the grass. I'll probably run it that way all the time.
The front shock tower is new. I packed JB Weld-stick epoxy into the cavity where the lower tower bolt holds the towers together and ran a long bolt/nut through both sides. It tends to crack where the ribs of that cavity meet the part that keys into the upper bulkhead. I had hot glue on the last one and it held up for a while, but eventually cracked. Hoping the JB weld helps.
I didn't break anything, this struck holds up pretty good for me now. My biggest issue is carrying it up/down 3 flights of stairs. lol!
It only got to about 65-70F out when running it, but the wind was nuts almost the entire time. Surprising how much of an affect it has on a truck this big/heavy, but it tossed it around quite a bit on the big jumps. The esc never got above 95F and the highest I saw on the motor was 126F.
