It’s interesting to see this match up so resoundingly won by the Hyundai Elantra N. I’m sure Cliff agrees, if his money was on the line the Hyundai Elantra N gets his weekly youtube paycheck thanks to it’s amazing performance per dollar. The $37,000 manual Acura Integra is just all style and “premium luxury” zero substance over the $28,000 Honda Civic Si and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupe.

Question? Why are you comparing these two cars again? I feel this is an unfair comparison on both ends. Yes both are priced closely the same but as we know the mission for both cars are for totally different audience. The Hyundai Elantra N should be compared more with the Subaru WRX, The VW Jetta GLI or possibly the Honda Type R, and the Acura Integra of course the Mercedes CLA, Audi S3 etc;.
@SilverScarletSpider
Жыл бұрын
i think you are technically correct. but i have yet to ever meet a Mercedes driver willing to give an Acura ILX or Integra a chance. If they are buying an overpriced car, they’re getting a Merc C lass/BMW 2 series/Audi A3; but if they actually wanted a good value cheaper car they would choose Honda Civic Si. a lot of Hyundai and Kia’s new marketshare growth has been coming from Honda buyers that want a better value and leather seats much like how many Nissan buyers typically don’t have the credit for Toyota.

I may disagree with the comment about styling (although beauty appreciation is a very personal thing). In person the Elantra looks a lot better than on paper. These cars are not even really in competition. The Hyundai Elantra N was built to compete with Honda Type R. They put more into the motor and perfomance over the luxury like they were supposed to. That Acura Integra was made to be a Luxury sports car and it shows. Acura did a very good job with that. Acura did not do well just giving the Integra a 1.5 liter 200hp engine. I drove the Elantra n with DCT. And then a 2019 m240i awd with the zf transmission. The Hyundai dct is way better more particularly when your pace changes. The dct immediately picks it up when the bmw zf hesitates a lot. Also the bmw feels surprisingly a lot less nimble. I’m in the market currently for a sport car I can drive in winter ( I live in Canada) and honestly this one ticks a lot of boxes.
