Oh snap! Done been graced by a celebrity! Lol thanks brother . I really like it a lot . There’s some things my keen eye sees that North American manufacturing just won’t ever get to Japanese levels it seems , and the CVT is quite loud . KQ and grizzly have zero CVT noise of course . But the ITB, ITC , and Tri Mode DPS is SPOT ON dialed in. They did a phenomenal job on the features functioning well. It surprised me at how well it rode . And of course holy smokes it’s much more violent down low than the 1000 sportsman I had , it flat RIPS! Thanks for the comment bud .

@@joekearney 🤣🤣.. I agree about the ITC, IBC, and DPS though, CanAm has really dialed that stuff in over the last few years.. Big difference between a 19 and a 23... Top tier wheelers for sure!

Are you still enjoying the machine? Is the power excessive or manageable? I’m not a trail rider, I use them for hunting purposes, don’t mud ride etc but want something that could pull a disk if needed. I’ve had a Sportsman 570 now for 3 years and it’s been flawless, worked for my needs but I want more power. Torn between an Outlander 850, 1000, or another Sportsman in a 850. Have you had any major issues with your machine? I’m gentle with my atv, clean after every use, avoid mud if possible etc but I want one I can be confident in if I’m miles from the truck on a hunt. I live and hunt in southern Arkansas so terrain is easy.

Oh yea it’s a blast for sure . For your needs I’d say far excessive . I actually drive it around in work mode or standard majority of the time . Sport mode is ridiculous, and I had a 2019 Polaris Sportsman 1000. If you got a good deal on an 850 you’d be more than pleased . I feel like every manufacturer dropped in quality after the scam of 2020. Unfortunately both of my Polaris experiences were bad , I like Can Am better in most areas but it’s not perfect either . You can tell they cheaped out on some fit and finish areas . The fuel pump fuse blew right after I got it home , changed it and it’s been fine since . The fuel tank , cap can be finicky about pressure making a whining noise sometimes if you over fill it . Honestly the new midsize Outlanders like we just upgraded one of our boys too are much quieter and even more comfortable, they did quite a nice job on them . Overall non abuse riding I think it’s built a little better than my sportsman was . However with your description of how you’d take care of them I think you’d be fine on a SP 850 or Outlander 850. The Rotax and can am factory clutching flat jams though I will say that bud lol.

Hello, sir. I've got my Can Am max coming in next week. I noticed that you don't have a skid plate. Do you feel like it's not important? You seem to manage quite well without it?!
@joekearney

Well , it’s one of those situations where I just haven’t stopped and worried with it really. I definitely wouldn’t say it’s not important if you’re gonna ride in mountains and rocks a lot . You can manage with the factory set up if you’re paying close attention for sure though . I’ve never put aftermarket skids on anything admittedly.

Yea 91 is the minimum required octane . If you don’t have a choice you can run 87 though , minimal performance loss would be my assumption.

Naw Mitch I traded it in on the Outlander . Not one bad thing to say about the KingQuad . Other than extremely minor stuff such as power steering needed updating bad and a hair narrow and like all Japanese machines a boost in HP. Extremely high quality machine with zero drivetrain noises and top notch fit and finish . The power of the outlander 1k is just such a massive rush . It hits considerably harder than the sportsman 1000 I had . Thanks for watching bud !

Oh I agree, I usually get around to lowering PSI as I did on my X3, but this was its first ride and I just hadn’t gotten to it yet . One issue though on it being stock is clearance is already to low for mountain riding and lowering the stock tires PSI would lessen it more lol . Thanks for watching!
