The funny thing is, that seemingly crushing critique of it could also be translated into "Totally fine for old people with hearing aid." - At least as long as you can reduce the bass. It's probably the same cynical-pragmatic marketing design approach as with piano black as superficial fancy and how that impression sells cars: Old people tend to be unable to hear high frequencies, so it is safe to save money there. (But it's still a bit appalling for that price class, because even for a big hunk like that it is high-end pricing.)

I can't believe I'm saying this but I really like the interior on this GM. The fact that it has a 6.2 V8 is a huge bonus too. We'll see if their newer version of cylinder deactivation blows up as quickly as the old version, because we already know the transmission is toast at 100,000 miles.
@KevRC4130

Totally agree, I think this interior is great. Kind of a ski lodge, gadgety/tactical feel, unpretentious in attitude and honestly even somehow that makes me appreciate some of the more durability-minded (read: "cheap") material choices - the shot where the rear center console was all scuffed up from feet makes it feel believable as a family vehicle, not so precious as a "true" luxury vehicle. And of course a decades-proven lineage of this platform and engine, with a big V8 - I can dig it.

The LX has a payload rating of 1565 lbs meanwhile the Denali Ultimate has a payload rating of 1616 lbs an advantage of 51 lbs. Didn't really need it since I never towed and the ride was still quite good. Center coupling had to be replaced 2x, and it was in need of a second transmission rebuild when i got rid of it. I had a Chevy Suburban Premier and after 18k miles I traded it in as so many of the systems were failing and the dealership couldn't get parts. The third seat folding motor broke. It's a nice vehicle that serves its intended purposes well for hauling lots of people and towing. The problem is, it seems most people who buy these vehicles don't need them for their intended purposes. Rarely do I see these with more than 2 people in them and rarely are they towing. However, it also towed my 16k lb fifth wheel travel trailer occasionally across the country. It went on construction sites. It moved all kinds of stuff. Yet, 90% of the time people saw a nice clean F250 with a single person driving it. Right now I have a mint new Denali 1/2 ton pickup. Drive it solo 95% of the time, and always pristine. Yet I've moved the belongings of a house with it, towed my car and belongings in a large cargo trailer that I also own, brought down tree's/limbs. Every old codger and 30'stwit with 1.4 kids has one of these here thinking they're the best professional grade shit ever made. They definitely target the narcissistic traits of some new money here, always the ones with road rage and doing 90+ with kids in the car. If only they had comfortable seats, and had a motor that didn't eat lifters and cams it might actually be a very nice car for the used market in 3 years for 45k.

People love these too. Would never buy this for 100k especially when they have x7 SQ7 Gls lx600 and range rovers in that price range. 100k Tahoe no way.

Bose audio in Chevy products was always the worst audio line. Tin can like resonance and absolutely no bass.

I've got the poverty spec (SLT) 2022 with the 3.0 Duramax. I love it, and I'm coming from 20 years of sporty cars. Traffic around me sucks, I can never open anything up, so I might as well have room for my dogs and various knickknacks.

My last two Yukon Denali's, 2015 & 2019, have been less than quality vehicles. Both had a lot of warrant and non-warranty repairs. 2019 had transmission work and replacement of the differential. While both these vehicles have some great features (towing and cargo space) quality and customer service seems to be lacking at this price point of a vehicle. Mileage on both were 17 city and 22-23 highway with the 6.2L engine. Just from my point of view, this price point I expect quality and customer service which seems to be lacking on both. Hopefully for 2023 GMC/GM has changed direction on quality and customer service.

My mom's last two Yukon's (2008 Denali XL and 2016 Denali) have had their share of quality issues in and out of warranty but the 2016 has been dreadful quite frankly. The 2008 had an issue with the stereo for the first year where the speakers would go between working in the front only then the rear only. A quick software update fix that and the issue never happened again. Otherwise the dashboard cracked like they all do and the passenger rear door lock actuator stopped working 5 years in but it was good otherwise. Plenty of space and power, very comfortable seats and ride, great transmission, decent pricing for the time (It was around $50k new in 2008). The 2016 however has been a nightmare from the first day. Mom instantly complained on the transmission shift quality from the get-go and she mentioned the hard, flat seats and harsh overall ride. The transmission slowly degraded and between software updates and a few flushes it finally ended up getting replaced at 51k miles under GMPP warranty. At the same time all 4 Magneride shocks were frozen and two motor mounts were busted in need of replacement. I forced her to get an extended warranty when she bought it and it paid for itself instantly. The sticker on this one was $76k and it definitely isn't worth the cost.

So you had a bad car.. And you bought another one.. That too with issues. Now you're thinking of buying another one? Are you getting these cars for free.
