Just got the 2023. LOVE it. It was not even on my radar at all. Random lady told me she bought 4 of them in the last few decades, and put over 200,000 miles on each. She said they never had any repair issues at all. So yeah, it 'feels' like a honda cr-v sort of. smooth. comfortable. and not as expensive as all others in that size.

Recently purchased the Santa Fe SEL. Getting aquainted with it. So far I love the way it drives and it does have more room. I replaced a 2017 Santa Fe. I love all of the new features. I just returned from a 400 mile trip. It performed very well. I have several trips planned for the summer. Looking forward pleasant outcomes. My daughter also has one as well and loves it. I would definitely recommend this car.

I have a 2022 SEL Premium, its been absolutely perfect. Not a single issue. It's perfect for the wife and myself plus out 2 dogs. No kids, they are all grown up and out on there own. This is a lease but planning to buy it afterwards. Great SUV at a great price. Had a Tucson 1.6 t with dual clutch, that trans was terrible! I wish the 2.5T didn't have the dual clutch transmission but overall I am happy with this vehicle

I am getting a 2023 base SEL because the dealership sold the fully loaded 2022 I was trying to get. The sales guy was annoyed. If they don't talk to each other this kind of thing will keep happening. So now I am stuck paying more money for their screw up. I was fine with a 2022 but now only slightly used 2023 models that meet my parameters are available. It is either this or a Nissan Rogue and they are way too overpriced right now that it borders on criminal.

Say, anyone know if the base engine has both port -and- direct fuel injection (to keep the valves from carbon buildup) ? Thought I saw that somewhere. Only other engine in this class that has it is the RAV4 engine.

All my previous Santa Fe's were V6 or Turbo. With prices rising nearly every day and inventory issue, I was thinking about the SEL, but nervous about the engine not being powerful enough, from what I have heard. What is your opinion on the SEL engine? Thanks

I have a 2023 Tuscon with the 2.5, acceleration isn't fast but more than acceptable and cruises at 70 at 2000 rpm, i live in NC but i have a hideaway in WV and i get 30 mpg highway and mine in the SEL AWD with convenience package. Dont expect amazing acceleration which i didnt or maybe take a test drive 1st. Like i said great MPG for an AWD suv

I have a 2023 SEL AWD with the convenience package and as long as you dont expect 0-60 in 6 seconds its acceptable and i get 30 mph strictly highway. It cruises at 70-75 easily at 2000 rpm, smooth and quiet with excellent road tracking so considering its size its impressive. I live and work in NC but i have a hideaway in WV and trying out the traction on snowy and icy inclined roads i was impressed as it went right up, however its NOT an offroad vehicle and not limited slip but as i said no wheel spin in snowy weather, thats all i need and expected.

Little annoyed but not overly. I just bought a new 2022 SEL. The convenience package was not included it was an upgrade and to find an SEL with that was hard. I do like that I do have wireless apple car play. Overall it’s not toooo much of a change. Just annoying that in order to get the convince I would have had to buy the XRT. I’m sure that’s just how buying a car is now a days with the chip shortage

Yeah it always feels like a little disappointment if you purchase a car a few months before the next model year comes out and they made changes that you would have liked to have. The base SEL is very well equipped now for sure. The 2022 SEL is still nice though.

The loss of the chrome grille and trim on the base SEL does make a difference. Outside of this, it is largely the same on the exterior.
