Sam, if no one's told you already - you're an absolute stud. So handsome! (And of course, thanks for the review. You've convinced me this is more premium than both the RAV4 and the CR-V, despite the MPG hit.)

Very good review! I bought a '22 Tucson Hybrid Limited a year and half ago. Just turned 24k miles on it and I've had zero problems. It's very comfortable, fun to drive, and it's sure-footedness in inclimate weather is very reassuring. It's the best car I've ever owned in my 40 years of car ownership. Tons of space, comfortable, lots of safety tech fur the money, industry leading warranty, and it looks good to! Stands out from the pack of look alikes

The transmission is CVT 😢? The company said it’s normal auto transmission not DCT or CVT !

Just as a side note: The combination of the Electric motor and 1.6 Turbo produce 226Hp and 258 Lb ft of torque. The engine by itself produces 180HP and 195 Lb ft. Spunk is right! I own a 2022 Tucson SEL Hybrid. Great car! :)

What about gas mileage?
@jemtec1

Well, it varies a bit depending on how you drive, how much you use your Hvac, what mode you choose and what the outside temp is. My average is over 44 mpg in the summer driving 90% in town driving. Highway only at 70 mph is around the EPA 36. Combined runs around 38 with maybe 10% in town and 90% Hwy. In the winter my average is about 34 mpg. Again depending on how much you crank the heat, it has been 31-32 at worst. My record driving home from work with no traffic at 2:30am and 45 mph was 56.4 Mpg. Its fun making a game out of your driving! Sorry I was WAY late to answer your question!@@GamerplayerWT

I'm deciding between a used '23 Tucson Hybrid with some extra features or a new '24. There's not a lot of used inventory in my area so I'm waiting a couple months. Thanks for the specifics...I'm definitely getting this instead of the RAV4 I test drove the other day!

wanted to like it but in person that gloss black on the dash was awful. Dust magnet and finger print magnect. It also reflected the sun light

What is the ev range you are getting? I’m considering the phev from Tucson ; Also the car play connection is wireless or wired?
@leet280

@@stefanbololoi7110 I'm getting about 30 Miles or 50 km on a single charge. I wish there was a heat pump because this time of year the engine runs at start up to heat the truck. And it will run for a good 5 mins before it shuts off. Not a deal breaker but something you should know, it can't run on EV alone, this time of year. Car Play is wired. If you do a lot of highway driving, I would look elsewhere. The mileage isn't great on the highway as it is a heavy vehicle. Get the regular hybrid as it will be better that way BUT if you are doing a lot of city and neighborhood driving, then this is the one you want.

I might choose this over the Honda CR-V if it didn't have all that gloss black everywhere on the console, entertainment system and around the window buttons. I would go crazy trying to keep it wiped clean. The amount of gloss black is a deal breaker for me. Also I do prefer that the Honda has more comfortable seats, a regular gear shift lever and a non-turbo gas engine instead of a turbo.

2025 model --already released in Korea--fixes all the gloss black. Should be in the US maybe middle of next year.

The rolling footage is making me homesick, Sam 😢 Like the Tucson but for that kind of money, I'd definitely buy a Venza hybrid.

I owned 2022 Tucson Hybrid Ultimate similar to 2023 limited edition. I'm not happy or satisfied with this vehicle, I would rather buy reliable Toyota RAV4 hybrid or Honda CRV hybrid.
