Thanks, Phrankleen! This was a much needed discussion. I am not Nigerian but will align as a neighbor, Cameroonian, and African. The recent elections in 9ja was mind-blowing and only goes to show that Africa was never liberated, especially with a generation of fathers and grandfathers from colonial days. May this be the beginning to the change we want instead of fighting each other on social media or making travel documents to run to the West.

Hi Phrankleen, hope all is well. You are absolutely right about Ghana! It’s gotten so bad that the river flow of dollars is damaging the value of the cedi, which then affects the average Ghanaian’s purchasing power negatively because their income is in cedis. Honestly homeownership should be tailored only to citizens of Ghana. My parents have retired and now living in Ghana full time and the last time I visited my goodness, the gentrification in Ghana is so visible. I noticed my old neighborhood has been taken over by the Chinese and Indians… smh.. very sad!

The same happened back home in Jamaica. I urged my family not to sell 100 + acres of family land and to NOT COME to the States. They did not listen, threw away their land (wealth) and now live in NY in shared house cash poor and making small small money. After the 2020 event, they cried to be back home on the land. Of course foreigners now own the land and are benefitting big time doing farming . This is a digital world. We can start online businesses WITHOUT venturing to the West. Phrankleen, not everyone will understand your message and your teaching but know that some of us get you. I personally see the big picture and understand most of the issues facing Africans. As an African, I also followed the elections even though I am not Nigerian, but I can sympathize with Nigerians. The problems with most Africans, is they expect their leaders to literally fix every problem in the country but fail to understand that its should be a collective efforts from the citizens as well. Instead of always blaming the leaders, the question should be, what is an average Nigerian/ African doing to make change? Change begins with you and me. Until we start to take responsibilities and accountability of our own actions and behavior, nothing will ever change. Japa is NOT the solution. This is not the time to just give up and abandon our country, this is the time to fight. And yes, revolution is the only answer.

You don't even understand it you think you do but you don't, it's not about the people, Nigeria in particular, it's about the shadow hands that strangulate the country, it is the British effect on Nigeria, they dictates what goes on in Nigeria, they manipulate the elections and throw up any suitable puppet that will continue to keep their business centre going which is Nigeria just like this brother enumerated, they initiate our leaders into fraternity and sometimes high ranking individuals too

Those Nigerians living in Nigeria and those living in diaspora are living I two different worlds. Nigerians are kept in perpetual bondage and infrastructure to get informed are kept from them. When you don’t have electricity to turn to radio or TV, you don’t have data to access news from your phone, you don’t have money to buy newspapers, how do you get information about what is going on outside Nigeria? The cabals have these softwares and infrastructures but the locals don’t do the person that controls information controls the people and the sad thing is that the people do not know how ignorant they are. Simon Ekpa has been saying that OBI was chosen as a distraction to keep especially those agitating for referendum from continuing their quest for to break the country.

This is the same issue I saw that led to shenanigans in the United States with Dominion Voting Systems in 2020. We must demand free (libre) software for such things, so that we can be assured of the data they collect. Transcribe everything to a distributed ledger, encrypt the databases. Most Africans are tired of traditional religion. Why? Because of incidents like what happened during the recent election in Lagos, where Ifa worshippers dumped sacrifices everywhere to scare off voters. This has given Ifa a bad reputation in Nigeria, as it's often used as a weapon of oppression. As a result, many people will naturally resist it. I've been studying Ifa for a while now and I believe that one way to address this is to start teaching its knowledge openly. However, I also feel that Ifa is too powerful to be taught in the same way as Christianity, as it lacks the basic teachings of Christianity. Another thing I've discovered is that the tools (or Powers) of Ifa can actually be syncretized with one's religion of birth. For example, you can be a Christian and have an Ogun shrine at home. You might call it a Saint Joseph shrine and back it up with scriptures, but it would still have the feel of Ogun.
