I enjoyed this! I use a RJM PBC6X as well. Thanks for the idea of having standard presets for the TimeLine, etc. and then sending them song-specific tweaks using the PBC6X. Nice!

@@Packett1364 the pedal board is very nice. i would hate it. i want to play, not program. i suggest you do that too. practice more, program less.

@@louiscyfer6944 whatever works for you! It's actually nice because when I play live, I can program song parts and I spend more time playing than tap dancing! And It's flexible enough that if I want, I don't have to program at all!

Really enjoyed this video, great tones! Would you mind talking me through your settings for the DRUBY?
@Packett1364

Hey John! Yeah for me something about them was criminally bright so I don’t set them like I would set the real amps. These settings in my rig give it body and the response that lets the DRUBY shine for me! RUBY (settings in o’clock) V 10 Cut 2:30 Bass 11 Treble 2:30 Dream V 9 R 8:30 B 2 T 11

yep clean board bro. looks just like the kinds people have to pay pros to assemble. I tried a powertron and the 1959 jet with classics and I agree, I like classics better.

This was a really cool board to share! I am curious why you chose to go with both the Dream and Ruby pedals instead of going with just an all in one amp modeler like a Strymon or even a digital thing like an HX Stomp?
@Packett1364
Жыл бұрын
Hey there! I’ve owned an iridium and I currently own a stomp that I have used for amps, and the ACS1, and played through a Kemper! 😅 I like the Druby combo because of how well it handles effects in front of it like a real amp does. Tape delays make a really cool sound when they repeat on top of each other and Druby handles this well!
@paulh2426
Жыл бұрын
@Jacob Packett that is so funny you say that because that has always been my rub with multi-effects pedals: they just react differently with analog pedals as opposed to analog with analog (a real amp). I still run everything thru a tube amp myself just because of how my pedals always sound better with that as opposed to something like a Helix. Thanks for sharing again!
@Packett1364
Жыл бұрын
@@paulh2426 absolutely sir! When I used the helix, tape delay when it repeated on itself had this super digital almost bit crushing sound to it that once I heard it I couldn’t un-hear it. They all are great for different folks and different uses but the helix was my least favorite specifically for how it handled wet effects. Real amps are still the GOAT haha

This board is awesome, and similar to the big board I’m trying to put together. I’m using the Tonex pedal for amps, and fitting two of those on has proved… difficult lol That morning glory is bomb 🤙

Yup! Since this video I use dual iridiums I should mention. The eq is a lot more even and although the response is different it’s better for what audio engineers I work with tend to look for!
