The Prius prime is definitely on my shortlist. Living in LA with a short but in traffic commute, it would be a perfect car. The hatch also makes it practical enough to put a bike or a shortboard in the back.

If your commute is too short then buying a hybrid doesnt make finacial sense.

I could not agree with you more. Why do all these car manufacturers have to do that? It’s like they are saying this car is an EV so we’re gonna make it is ugly as possible.

he is one of the most honest reviewers out there....i have a prius and i 100% agree. LOUDDD engine sound when it kicks in, but a significant powertrain upgrade. things rattle inside intermittently and it is driving me BONKERS...i can't find what is vibrating and rattling....paint is also very very fragile, one little touch, you have a microscratch and swirlmark...interior plastics scratch easily too..but as far as MPG, as long as you drive in eco range...you can get 57 mpg, thats on a XLE trim with 19" tires.

Dare I say that when looking at it from the sides, it kind of reminds you of the Aston Martin in Daniel Craig 007 films??? Just outstanding design! This won't be easy to get at the Toyota dealership.

I am checking out prius and elantra hybrid. Which one would you recommend? Reliabilitywise, Toyota is getting alot of recalls this year, so I am considering toyota and hyundai is like on par. Check out both cars in your channels, both cars seem running 0-60 at similar time in reality.

It cost more than the Venza, which is 10X more luxuries than the Prius, has a lot more room than the Prius, and MPG is almost the same, so why not get the Venza?
@TestDrivenTV
Жыл бұрын
A similarly equipped Venza Limited is over $42k. If you compare base LE to base LE, the Prius is $7k less expensive. In any case the Venza is far less efficient. You are comparing an SUV against a car, not apples to apples.

Great review as always Sam! We wanted to get one with the 12.3, rearview & 360 cam but you're forced to get highest trim 😑 didn't want to give up the smaller rims and better mileage so we are getting a LE instead lol.. ❤ from Mesa!

The Only way to buy a Prius is to order them is the nail in the coffin for the Prius. $30k+ for an economical car is an oxymoron. Making then lower and smaller inside they will loose most of us old people (50 year old) that have bought 3 of them. Most of the people that are raving about them NEVER bought them before and will NEVER buy one anyway. Fact. Actual Prius owners (That actual bought Prius NEVER gave a crap in 0-60 EVER, if I want speed I would take out the ZX14r or her Boxster). even though we bought 3 off them before we will NOT buy the new design. We will just keep the older version because they will run for ever. It’s actually a FAIL for the ACTUAL Prius BUYERS.
