Plus the black rims to me look better and I don't car about heated seats I don't live in a area with awful cold weather and I don't need a useless sunroof either, I get plenty of sun already and I like self charging vs having to plug it in sort of thing. I own a Crosstrek and the X mode is absolutely incredible in heavy snow/ mud though I don't do a lot of off-road driving (only occasionally), but I like the E-CVT transmission of the Prius which is far more reliable than the Subaru CVT which has to be maintained every 30000 miles. I get 40 mpg on the highway without climate control on and in clear weather, 30 mpg in the city. Of course in inclement weather the mpg is lower but so far I have no regrets. Numbers based on national rates for power and average cost for a gallon of gas. In a rural southern state at 10c kw/Hr its much better 26.67 Mi/$ and 13.76 Mi/$ on gas. Now california its 8.88 Mi/$ for electric and 9.18 Mi/$ for gas. To wrap up if your powers is cheap get a prime, if not get an all gas. prius prime is only helpful if you drive it in default hybrid mode with charging, and if maybe some of you might be able to drive on electric only for around 40 miles, while needing to travel long sometimes , where you use gas engine. otherwise, its less miles per gallon , tires , probably insurance, etc will be more expensive. it heavier than standard hybrid , heavier makes it less safe in crash especially for others outside the car , weight worsens road wear exponentially, more battery mass worsens effiency exponentially because your average driving moment isnt using all the energy of all those batteries, who are very heavy per amount of work they can do vs combustion. you dont understand climate change claims , which are promoted by blackrock ESG score type stuff which are funded by banker pritned money, they promote stuff that weakens people to make them more controllable to their newworldordyr, see hOW their modern world has increased mental illness, decreased rate of sucesfull or even existent, long term collborative relationships, etc.check out brown car guy video on ulez expansion. also consider interpretations fo climate change claims by richard vobes, tom nelson, suspicious obsevers, tony heller ..if youve been paying attention in that past decades, theyve been making predictions that massively failed to be true, and cant accoutn for climate being extreme sometimes wiel sometimes not being extreme, which goes against their idea of a increasing amount of extreme weather. they cant even agree on wether the globe is warming or cooling more. the real value of lowering emissions is to lower NOx, SO2, particulate matter (smoke), and heavy metal pariculate such as lead and arsenic, emissions into food water air supply, to prevent stuff like cancer causing stuff like smoke, consuming burnt food (see Starbucks getting sued successfully for serving burnt coffe bean products causing cancer) and notice how in nature, most things that are disgusting arnt good for the goal of reproduction of ones genetics, we were designed to maximize your reproduction by genetic natural selection, we can control how we combine and spread genetics for genetic health to be optimized for happiness, not just reproduction.... but as it is, it tends to rather help our health, including a developed disgust for burnt food. but smoking tobacco and the such wasnt seen as a big health problem besides addiction, before wisespread use fo seed oils and other rather unatural stuff replacing natural fats like tallow, olive oil, etc, which have higher smokng points (tempuatures to be cookable in before they smoke in cancer causing way, somewhat like combustion car emissions). so if only one part of health makdes sch a big difference in how much smoking stuff at your face causes cancer.. imagine how minor car emissions are (outside of the chemical mattters related to specifically the chemicals of petrol). but dendrite forming battery degradaton makes electric cars loose value in aftermarket, while combustion cars that are well taken care of (oil change every 5k miles and il filter every other oil change at least if its dirty) makes them run forever,.. military, insutry, inclding semitrucks you see, all often use very old engines from even the 1950s etc, rust and alingment refixes every 100k miles or so and filter changes like battery cooling dust filters etc are the other stuff that evs also have to do. they could use a small linear combustion energy conversion to electric , hydrallic , etc power with electric assisted turbo , something like mahle recyclable electric motor, with sustainable energy like biofuels, hydrogen combustion or electric, e fuels, nuclear energy support (liek rolls royce mini nuclear), etc but you arnt hearing of it much because there isnt a lot of gossip marketing hype targeting normal people as they is for electic cars, those systems are appealied to commercial customers mostly because their young developing tech. so we should be using limtied battery supply to reduce emissions when they happen most (if we need electric drive at all).although electric cars emit less than hybrids when comparing oen car to another, across all vehicles through all of time, hybrids use batteries to reduce emissions where they happen most: when engine is runnign a lot to move car in stop and go traffic... and you can make many hybrids with the same amount f battery youc an make a electric car with. so todays hybrids are much closer to the ideal car i described, than plugin hybrids and electric cars, and theres more to be said. production of cars alos cost emissions and raw resources, its not worth buyig a new car if you car is not too far form my ideal already, even if its only combustion... not buying now will also make corpeations not waste materials on new cars and promote them, and you can help inspire influencers to change what the market wants on social media etc like how tesla became popular (and that was before elon took over twitter). for crash saftey, besides lightweighting, the car should lift itself up tp position so that its lower part is on same height as the lower part of a suv, also see audio a8 active suspenion for moving car in angle that minimizes crash harm to people inside car etc. so it can stay small and low for lowering csots, emissions etc, but get high for saftey ... its safer thsi way because the structurally strong parts of car are at bottonm of car to help prevent the weight from being high up, which would make it more tending to roll over onto it side around a turn. currently, suabru crosstrek comes close, although its still overall worse compared to similar priced cars, for not having enough structural strength and energy absorbing sturcture, per amount of weight. compare cars on ihhs and ncap crash test score website and make sure nhtsa recalls have been fixed. so if you are buying new car.... new volvo xc60 is safe and not diificult to deal with, but bad in every other way, and crash test scores having appeared for prius yet, but you should probably jsut buy a combustion only used honda civic if you wanna focus more on being good in every other way besides what the volvo i mentiond is good for. if your insisting on electric cars still, its because your pretending like its worth anything, you want novealty, and theres a good chance your doing it for nonsense blackrock supported bot account shadow banding normalized cultural games like "lets try to make people like me more even though we dont have a collborative long term personal relationship... so consider aptera electric car, because you cant go much far in most electric cars with more than 1 passenger etc, and given the type of person you probably are, you have people you care for much which youd really need to carry in your car, so this 2 seater is very unique looking (youll probably end up liking the look at least if you try, and art a lazy narrow minded "boomer" as youd probably say, even i did end up liking it, although i like it mostly because its areodynamic(technically its called fluid dynamic because ater animals like tadpoles ad fish also are designed by fluiddynamics, not jsut air animals like birds, and stuff like planes boats cars etc). aptera haas a history of doing a uniquely good job at getting closer to the ideal car, they haev develped tech like structural composites which theyll proably appply into real more ideal cars, but for now they need to show investors and normal people they are wanted , so they can profit enough to make better cars in future as they say they will... so supporting them is sometthing i ratehr you do , instea dof supporting other electric car makers

Plugin hybrids are built for idiots who cannot do the math. With the electric motor you have maintenance free technology. But for some reason some morons think it's a good idea to add complexity to it with an ice engine that needs maintenance and oil changes. Electric mobility is an IQ test and Prius drivers get straight Fs.

Our 2024 Prime has 5,200+Km on it. We have bought half a tank of gas. First oil change is already scheduled, for 12 months after purchase. We got an A+ grade. We're good at math.
