The only Glaring issue I have with my 2023 Triumph Tiger 1200 GT Explorer. The display is lacking some essential features that the previous Tigers had.
Agreed! I have the same bike. Same year. That's my only gripe as well.

I was so used to the menu bar at the bottom of the screen on my last Tiger because it was so convenient to use and configure. I'm now used to my new one and there are a few shortcuts to get to the things I want to see. Thanks for the comment! Ride SAFE and BE safe!

I agree it's an issue. It seems like a software change could solve it. My Trophy SE can be configured with different info above and below the main display. The info button makes it much easier to look at different items with easy presses up and down. Besides the basic speed, RPM and gear, the info I want to see most is range and Tire pressure.

Greetings from Scotland (again!), I have had a great few weeks of what is amazing constant sunshine here in the Scottish Highlands and been having a great time on the roads up here. I agree that the odometer not being obviously displayed and yes it would be good to have it on the Trip screen as that makes sense, maybe they will do an update that will provide that in future. I'm still shopping around for a nice tank bag that will look okay on the Explorer. Thanks for posting the video

I'm pretty sure that no one designing motorcycles or gear these days has never ridden a motorcycle. The goofy choices they make is otherwise inexplicable. I have a Thruxton too and everything I need fits nicely on those two dials...well, I guess if I'm honest, I would like it to have TPMS, but I fortunately, I still know how to use a tire pressure gauge.

Yes, the old Gen 3 information tray was very useful wasn’t it? But as you say, I would have to forgive it for the stellar improvements in all other areas. Looks like a great destination for lunch you’ve got there 👍. The Cafe Racers are looking very fine 👏🏻.

Thanks Terry. I miss the menu tray. Yes it was easy to get everything there. I cannot fault anything else on the bike. Love it! The lunch spot, AJ's, is legendary for their food. Best dry rubbed Cajun wings on earth! Yes I LOVE my Cafe Racers! The RR however is almost too ferocious and is not a relaxing bike to ride. It is all business and demands focus at all times. When I ride it I wonder how something like this is even legal to own as a street bike! I'm on the fence about it right now because of that. The only reason I want it is because it is beautiful to look at next to my Thruxton. Ride SAFE and BE safe Sir!

I'm curious...why do you need to constantly know what your odometer says? Seems like useless clutter to have it displayed all the time. It's only really necessary for service intervals, or if you sell the bike. And even for service intervals, you'll get a flashing wrench overlayed on the clock. 🤷♂️
@ttrguy9952

@@Kevimoto The odometer is "Traditional" on displays. It's just a line of numbers and not at all clutter. The Tiger dash is 7" of wasted space only showing Speed, gear and RPM. When you put your key in your car, it's there "ODO" all the time until you shut it down. It's NOT there for only "Service Intervals", it should there for convenience on a ride. I'm another one that doesn't miss the odo. I don't even think about it. I DO have some dash dislikes though... 1. Display icons move around. Surely with all that acreage they could have put warning/status icons etc in the same place irrespective of display mode? 2. Some of the info is unnecessarily large. e.g. TPMS display is huge. Fuel info is oversized. I tend to just prefer the simple display as too much info on the screen is distracting. In that respect I think it's good that Triumph didn't try to cram too much on the one display.

Nice video 👍, I brought my new GT explorer two weeks ago, done 900 miles, very comfortable, and 300 miles in between fills, mine came with full luggage free of charge and I've got the SW motech pro tank bag, i went to test ride a bmw gs1250 adventure but the sales man was a dick so went to to my local triumph dealer and got the GT, they gave £1,500 more for my PX than BMW, can't fault the bike so far, fitted my tom tom sat nav as my phone is not compatible with the triumph app

@@ttrguy9952 I used to ride years ago with dual sports and smaller street racers. I took the local MSF, and my skills are still there. Even on the loaner 250cc's, it was a lot of fun. I'm getting back into it but keep getting dinged financially and money earmarked for a new bike ebbs and flows. Already looking at next season. I've been to Libby's but it was not a great time during the pandemic and inventory was probably at its lowest. I really like the retro nakeds, ADV bikes after that. I suppose my target is the Kawasaki Z900rs. I'd like to buy new but it may expedite things to buy used. Honestly, I'd be happy with anything at this point with mid controls Locally, I would day trip in your area and have a good friend who lives in Goshen. Longer ride plans include visiting my sister in Western NC, the Finger Lakes in central NY, and then numerous trips into Canada. Anyway, probably more than you wanted to know. Heh, sorry🙃
