It's 310/430 in turbo max, not 310/390, yall errored there hoss.
@dayv4630

And Trail Boss and up just COME with that segment-leading 310/430. It's the same 2.7L i-4 turbo that comes in the silverado rated at 8,900 pounds towing. So essentially any Colorado, even pulling the max 7,700 pounds, is operating in easy-mode engine wise.

Lame article. Can't even get the facts right. The higher output engine delivers 430 lb-feet of torque. Not 390. That was last year. All very subjective.

I have heard people talk about how great the DSSV shocks are. But recently I have seen a few KZitem videos of people saying that the DSSV shocks started leaking and had to be replaced with conventional shocks because the DSSV shocks are too expensive.

All things being equal, the new Tacoma gets much better gas mileage. I think the new Ranger will be closer to the Tacoma in MPG's, I really don't understand why the Colorado does so poorly. I know the ZR2 is on par with the Ranger Raptor which I'm sure will get horrible mileage to. The TRD offroad and the Ranger FX4 will probably do pretty well though. It just seems like that 2.7L for some reason just isn't very efficient.

All things aren't equal. The Toyota engine is smaller and gets 1 more MPG.

@@Holden-McGroin Did been a Chevrolet Vega before hear it run it was terrible 2.3 engine then 40 years bring 2018 out 2.7 engine turbo other bad 💡 on market put in Chevrolet Silverado later then Chevrolet Colorado and Canyon . When I said bring back 70's it was bad 💡 because there fail into that engine like Chevrolet Vega had a 2.3 engine sound same performance show poor quality again.

@@derekgilbert2884 Would you care to clarify? The 2.7L engine in the Colorado has absolutely nothing to do with the Vega car from 50 years ago. Why are you trying to make this a comparison?

😂😂😂😂. Like I said to another comment, I use my Colorado for more hardcore outdoor action, both for the truck itself and for the real sports I do (mountain bike, remote surfing) than every one of my 8 neighbors with full size trucks. So if they all think like you, this “girl” is putting my Colorado through the paces weekly, monthly, and annually while all the “guys” on my street drive their “guy trucks” to air-conditioned offices for work on a computer screen and maybe Home Depot every so often! 😂😂. Lame labels!

Some of us don't live in the country and have 65k to waste. 90 percent of people with full sized truck don't need it.

@@toolbox71 Absolutely right, Sir! I live in Southeast TX and I use my Colorado (and a previous midsize truck) for what a truck is designed for nearly every week, and sometimes in serious truck-worthy conditions a few times a year, and does everything a great truck should do! And the funny thing is that I’m the only guy on my street where no less than 8 neighbors have full size trucks (Ford, Chevy, Dodge) that never leave the road 😂😂😂. They drive em to work and Home Depot mostly! Then, maybe once or twice, they go on a fishing trip or camping-to a state park with more paved roads (one guy tows a light trailer of 4,000 lbs and another guy pulls a fishing boat less weight than that) both of which I could also tow easily!

This seems like a perfect work truck for people who live in the city and do interior remodeling construction that requires driving alot. 1600lbs carry load cap is pretty good for this line of work.

@@FloresRain-- There are a lot of contractors who could use a truck this size, but the problem is, there isn't a proper work truck in the 3rd generation. My 2nd gen Colorado WT is a practical truck. It has an extended cab and a six foot bed, unavailable in the 3rd gen. It's not a hot rod or a "trail boss." Best of all, in 2016 it was affordable.

I like to garage my truck, which means I cannot literally fit a half ton 4 door truck with a 6' bed.
