Thanks for being transparent on how the industry works with blenders and many brands don't have their own chemists dedicated only to that company.

Definitely the best video ive ever watched on your channel, but arguably one of the best detailing vidoes ive watched in a long, long time. Super informative and appreciated, and also a breath of fresh air in a space when it seems like everyone is just cramming more and more shit down our throats for their own personal gain. Thanks jimbo!

Great video. I have been following you for a few yrs and this is probably the best one you have put out yet . I have been detailing for 40 yrs and have whittled my products down to just a handful. Some of which I have been using for 15 , 20 yrs. The market seems so convoluted now I couldn't imagine someone just getting into detailing. 30 yrs ago it was easy . Only a handful of brands to choose from . Now it's mind-boggling. Keep up the good work and I'm looking forward to learning about your own line if and or when you do that . Take care.

Ive spent a small fortune on products because I like detailing. I get paid to do jobs and I’ve listened to a lot of fluff, buff and duff. Influencers make money. Some products work as indicated and some do not. I have yet to find the pad/compound combo to make it like on “tv” or KZitem. The camera lies to a great extent and in person is the best. I don’t chase perfection. I’m not interested in breaching the clear coat. Most folks in my area just want a good ole wash. Thanks for being real. I hope others will do the same. I’ll keep trying stuff. But just to say. Dawn dish soap I that spray thingy does better on tires than any expensive product I’ve purchased. It turns the dirt people. Thanks Jimbo!!

Have you tried 3D one and a URO fiber pad? That combo is hard to beat.

Awesome video brother!! As always!! I had absolutely no idea that you had the background that you do as far as working with different chemical companies and blinders. So, you are absolutely right when talking about the auto detailing industry as a whole over the past 4 to 6 years. I saw where one; very well known OTC brand released their "new" 2024 product lineup and it was stuff that they had back in 21' so I'm sitting there like really guys. You also bring up a very good point as to where the diy or simi-pro detailers are going to go back to the basics of what they know. Yes, it's fun to try something new from time to time but, if some of these companies aren't releasing anything truly new to the market, then what is the point. Me personally, I think that there should be more r&d in automotive plastics.. i.e. rejuvenation and protection. I have had a professional detailing business now for 10 years and I can tell you, first hand that there is not one single brand out there that can rejuvenate and protect ALL plastics from one auto maker to another. There is one chemical that can rejuvenate all plastic but it's only good for a week or so and there is no UV protection. So if it were me, and I was going to up into the market of making or producing my brand.. I'd souly dive into plastic and trim.. just sayn. Because there are plenty of paint and glass products out there.

Make an inexpensive waterless and im in. Or just make a concentrate waterless that i can mix myself. These companies charging 50 bucks a gallon for waterless are nuts.

Love the dialogue and information. Although not a professional detailer I would like to see you succeed. I would recommend you listening to or reading the two second Lean book by Paul akers. So many businesses fail with bad processes even if they have a good product. All the best

You mention “reselling what you’re good at…” Yeah we know who that is, ##COUGH## Chemical Guys, cough cough... Don’t get me wrong, they have good stuff, but too much overlap. Damn after hearing this, who do we trust? Rebottling the same recycled crap is bad business.
