Third time's the charm, man. Maybe try a woody scent, or even aromatic, if you want a mature fragance? Not too strong either, like a Chypre, or you'll jump from teenager right into old-man smell

"Majority of people working in department stores do not know fragrances." I had this exact experience. I went to buy invictus victory as a fragrance newbie. I tried it on and loved it. As i asked the worker for a box, she comes back with invictus platinum. I was like "Uh sorry, i'm looking for the Victory." They said "This is Victory, they both have the V on it." And I replied, "Yeah, but the bottle is the wrong color. It's supposed to be Black not Silver."

I’m all about trying designers in store. As for niche houses, most have discovery sets typically from $15-45 USD and it’s a great way to sample it. Always do your research gents and don’t let a salesperson sway your decision.

I’m 34 and started my collection last month. Started with CDINM EDP, Dylan Blue, Azzaro Wanted By Night and Nautica Voyage. I had to get the wife something so she wouldn’t yell at me so started her off with D&G The Only One and Guess Seductive Noir. CDINM I’ve worn the most and got compliments day 1 at work. Thanks to your channel and other KZitemrs I made some solid blind buys.

I love colognes, but I don’t love them so much that to pay creed level prices… even if I was rich. Cdnim is a great scent once you get past the 5 minute mark and I’ve had soooo many compliments on it from women. If it’s a good dupe that smells good, I’m all for it. I don’t need to spend a fortune to trick my brain psychologically. Others aren’t going to know how much I spent. They just know they like it or not.

Great video Antonio. I like to spray a really good clone on my chest and shirt, and then just a couple of sprays of “the real thing” on my neck and wrists. I find it helps with the performance and longevity, while making my budget go a little further while still feeling the confidence of knowing that the name brand is taking center stage.

My best tip: Always buy and wear fragrance for yourself. Fragrance is extremely easy to sell and just as easy to market. You see so many colognes marketed as "seductive and masculine" these days. As a personal example I picked up Tom Ford's Noir edp over the more popular "sexy" extreme version solely because I preferred the notes in the original version. This is despite all the hate it recieves as well. Wear fragrance with confidence and as a way to enhance your character even further, never let a fragrance wear you.

Great video, great teaching, great information. I've tried so many different colognes through out my life, when I look for new one it'll take me hours to find the right one. I've gotten so many compliments, but the last one Savage is by far the best I've ever used. Lasts the longest and women seem to absolutely love it. Be careful a tab will do ya with that. Lol.

Very informative video & much appreciated! I like to do my homework on fragrances, and then go smell them for myself. After that, if I like it enough, I'll have the wife smell it for her perspective. If she's not a fan, I'll pass on it, cause in the end, I'm wearing them to smell good for her, basically. Too hard for me to do a blind buy in that regard, with no guarantee either I or her will like it enough, not to mention it wouldn't be feasible, from a financial standpoint.

I have bougbt Creed Aventus and CDNN from a reputable source to do the Pepsi challenge or have a cheaper daily... after 2 days I'm convinced it smells similar to Creed plus lawn clippings and pine. Save your cash on the clones boys. And remember, cologne is like good beer - it changes with time after it leaves the bottle, first impressions aren't necessarily everything, otherwise Creed and a few others wouldn't be as popular as they are.

With regards to Detour Noir, a clone to Layton by Parfums de Marly. The only clone I've ever bought. However, it is a SOLID frag! I had my doubts as well, but I'm 100% satisfied with it. (Yeah, overall the bottle sucks for a few reasons, but you can't deny what's inside.) Of course, it's all subjective to what you prefer and everyone will have their opinions, but I do a ton of research before I buy a fragrance, clone or not, and I haven't bought a bad fragrance yet. I don't buy clones. For me it's a question of honor and fairness. Colognes are expressions of the perfumers creativity and I just think it's right that they reap the rewards for that. The clone house wouldn't have anything to clone if no one was being daring and creative enough to do something different.

When before, it went on strong and lasted past a shower or two. Hell, it would stay in my clothes damn near permanently. And since so many guys wear ...well, fruity, slightly feminine colognes...the ladies loved my old school man scent. I reserched it and found out the EU ruined my POLO and I cant replace it because they deleted ALL the ingredients that made strong colognes strong. POLO should be 1/2 price now

I always prefer originals over clones, unless the original is expensive AND weak, like Creed Aventus or Tom Ford Neroli Portofino. And I agree that not every fragrance has to be Beast Mode, but what's the point of a fragrance that isn't perceivable AT ALL after only 1 or 2 hours?

I love scentbird I have a subscription, but I wish they’d had a lot more of the top tier samples. A lot more PDM and Creed is needed. Initio Parfum and more Tom Ford would be nice. And the new atomizers are def cool, but they get stuck I have 2-3 of the new cases and the atomizer keeps getting stuck and I basically have to take it out of the case to spray multiple times. Regardless, great video.
