Back in 2008 had a Western Star, governed at 62mph, with identical feature to passSmart that would give an extra 5 mph to pass slower vehicles and then disengage after a few minutes. You couldn't use it again until another 15 minutes have elapsed. That feature was great, take stress out passing especially having a slow truck trying to pass a slower truck or RV and not backing up traffic making people behinds angry at you. I thinks it's a safety feature and should be incorporated in every governed trucks.

Not a bad rig however I would have gone with the #GreenAPU It weighs less than the Tripac and has a built in condenser. There is no ugly looking fan on the back of the sleeper. It uses less fuel per hour. It comes with a 3 year factory warranty. It's also quieter. It also costs less. The best part is that it's user friendly and replacement parts can be bought at any auto parts store.

I paid cash for a used 2019 Cascadia. I average 8.7 MPG. It's got the most reliable emissions system and cheapest parts of any truck on the road. I have Diagnostics Link thru DTNA on my laptop so I can troubleshoot and clear or fix almost any fault on the road and change parameters at will myself. It's the Toyota Camry of trucks. It consistently and significantly increases my profit margin which should be the goal of anyone in business. I don't have a visor on my truck and wouldn't want one. Not for aerodynamic reasons, but because they look effing ridiculous.

I have the 2022 cascadia 12 speed auto and let me tell you its garbage. The 400 hp model just has no power. No power to climb or pass. SFI specs these trucks to be barebones. Interior is low quality. For $160k truck you expect better. Mine comes with that stupid onguard that sits smack dab in the center of the windshield which is a serious design flaw. It blocks your vision.

Have any of you used these solar panel equipped trucks? I've used solar panels on my home in winter and they're pretty useless in Canada. With the sun low on the horizon you get fewer hours of charging with less intense sunlight so I'd imagine with a truck it'd be even more impractical as the odds of you being parked in the daytime and facing the sun are likely slim. Seems like the increase of aerodynamic drag from the panels would end up costing more, not to mention the tendency of flexible panels to degrade over a short period. I want "renewable" energy to be viable but in my experience, it's far from being so. Would love to hear from people using these solar setups...has it been worthwhile?
